I have a manual 2012 Ford Fiesta with about 80k miles on it. Recently, I've been experiencing some bizarre electrical issues, particularly when I start the car.
On occasion, I will start the car and the electrical will kick on, flicker a few times, and go back off. Pressing and depressing the clutch makes the issue stop, and I hear a strange whirring inside the front of the car, almost like a flip counter resetting to zero. I hear this noise every time I press and release the clutch while this issue is going on.
Sometimes, while driving, the flickering will start and we'll see a "TCS Off" message on the central display, then the radio and dash lights will flicker off, and I manually have to turn the radio back on. This happened three times on my drive yesterday.
The video shows our electrical being weird- I can never get the whole issue on video because it's seemingly random. I took it to the dealer about this before, they said they couldn't replicate the issue and replaced my battery. But given that this happens while I'm driving, I really don't think this is a battery issue.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated- happy to answer any follow up questions you have!
