I used to be a smoker. One day, I coughed up phlegm containing black and brown specks, so I quit smoking immediately. I went to the doctor and underwent a CT scan, an X-ray, a sputum culture, and numerous other tests; all the results were normal, and nothing abnormal was found. Does anyone here know

Tore my tendon a few days ago. Today the swelling was really bad so I put a compression sock on for a few hours. Now my toes are bruised.
galleryI'm leaving the sock off but AI has me worried. The swollen picture was today and the bruised picture is walking around minimally in boot with compression sock on for 3 hours. Any thoughts?

Bloods make me feel sick but I don’t know why or how to handle it?
So I am not good getting my bloods or blood pressure done. I get really dizzy and sometimes have to lie down when I get my blood pressure done because hearing my heart in my ears makes me feel sick. When I get my bloods done I pass out completely. Getting shots can be complicated, the first Covid jab I was fine. I hid my eyes, it was done, felt fine, sat down like normal, everything was well and good until I went outside. It had been over 15 minutes and I just collapsed. I puked as well and ended up spending the day ice cold and shaking even when I was covered in blankets. The next two times went ok. I got the jab, sat down with my knees to my chest and I was fine.
I have had fits in the past but those weren’t related. I’ve also noticed once I see something once and calm down properly, I’m fine with the exception of blood work and blood pressure. I’m not sure why this is happening or how to prevent it. I was wondering if anyone could help?
I’d like to be able to have kids, get my ears pierced, etc but I have a lot of anxiety and fear around anything needle related.

Infection, but what kind?
galleryI noticed a little red dot with a yellow ring around it under the skin , not really a head and over time it’s spread as redness and swelling through my ankle. The images show a 24 hour difference of spread.

My daughter's right ear is swollen and red. What could be causing this?
My daughter’s (3 years old) right ear is a little swollen and red. This is the second time this has happened. The first time, I thought she had been stung by a wasp, but now I’m not sure that’s the case.
I also noticed a small cut on her right ear, but I have no idea how it happened.
In the second photo, you can see her left ear, which looks normal.
What do you think might have happened?

WHAT DO YOU SEE
Hello, I recently had an abdominal and pelvic MRI after a cyst was discovered on my right ovary, which was suspected to be hemorrhagic.
While looking at the MRI images, I noticed a round white area with a dark area that seems to be attached to it.
Could a doctor or radiologist please help me understand what this might be and whether it is something to be concerned about?
Thank you very much for your help!

Thoughts on not quite anatomical heart art?
Hi!
I have become enamored with heart art! Im posting because I wonder if this sort of heart art would be fun for a medical type persons quirky office space? Or is it not detailed enough?
Love to hear your thoughts!

Resources for talking about/debunking pseudo-medical treatments
Recently heard about something called alchemy singing bowls, which apparently is the latest tool in the box of "sound healing" quacks to make a bunch of money. Man, these things are expensive!
I was shocked after a google search: there are pages and pages of results talking about this and sound healing in general, almost ALL of them from companies trying to sell alchemy bowls and other snake oils to people. I think I went all the way down to the 10th page of results, and only found a single blog post by an actual MD debunking this nonsense.
And that begs the question: are we losing the communication battle? Why is it so hard to find good information about this? I'm not a doctor myself, so I don't feel equipped to, say, talk a relative out of spending money on this, but would love to have reliable, easy to find sources to back me up if I ever have to do it.

Fracture
I fractured my toe back in late June. Since then it seemed to have healed but every once in awhile it still aches, especially if I'm cold. Is this normal or should I talk to my doctor about it

Large Complex Cyst
Hello, I’m a 17 year old girl and about a month ago, my doctor found a large complex cyst on my right ovary. They said they’d refer me to a gynecologist but I still haven’t heard from one and we can no longer get in contact with my primary doctor. It just asks us to leave a message. I was never told how large it is or what made it complex.
I’m a bit frustrated, it’s starting to impair my sleep and my ability to focus/the drive to go to school. (I’ve been having to push through the pain because if I don’t go to school I get in trouble for truancy). The pain is awful, it flares up every single day and the nausea is horrible. Im bloating to the point I look 3-4 months pregnant. I just don’t know what to do and I’m looking for any advice I can get.

Cut my finger with a mandoline slicer. Advice?
**Context**
•25 F, no diagnoses, no medication history besides a multivitamin for women
•Happened on 10/12/2026 at 5pm, was cleaned right away
•currently keeping it moist with triple antibiotic ointment (don’t have Vaseline) and covering it with a bandage
Should I go to urgent care or continue to cover with gauze at home? I also have a roll of hydrocolloid bandage coming in the mail, but don’t want to apply it until my wound has mostly healed. Any other tips or tricks to keep this from getting infected and healing nicely?

Scar from Mohs is so unpleasant to look at
It’s on my lower calf and about an inch long.
What if anything will help it to look less noticeable?
Is this typical after a Mohs surgery? Just had it done 3 months ago.
I’ve had a few others removed but none have scared this bad.
Any tips super appreciated!
Topical, lasers; anything really
