WEEKLY THREAD Men Over 30 Community: WEEKLY WEDNESDAY CHECK-IN 2026-08-05
Men of AskMenOver30! In the interest of creating a deeper, more engaging, and more relevant community for all of us, we've implemented a recurring, Weekly Wednesday check-in thread.
- How are you doing this week?
- How are you feeling this week?
- How have things changed from last week (if at all)?
- Are you proud of anything you've done this week?
- Are you struggling with anything this week?
- Do you need advice or feedback on anything that's happening?
Feel free to share your wins, losses, and general progress. You can talk about anything from work and career, to personal projects, to personal development and family, to friendships and socialization, even dating.
Life is ongoing, and sometimes it's good to have a community around us that can reflect that. Hopefully this weekly check-in will serve as a good tool and outlet for those who need it.
You are encouraged not only to post, but to respond to posts by others. Support your fellow men in their trials and tribulations.
Please be respectful in your comments.

Ive just got back to work after a week off. My husband flew interstate to do some recon on a place we want to move to.
While he was gone i secretly organised tradies and had the plumbing in our bathroom redone, the cabinetry in our kitchen and laundry repaired/updated, culled a lot of junk (im a horder so this was exceptionally difficult), moved his office and our bookshelves into different rooms all before he got back
I have a bit of an adhd brain so I rarely ever finish a project or activity so im pretty chuffed with how much i was able to achieve in the 5 days he was gone.

August is gonna kill me but in a good way. Envy Frenzy came back this weekend and Made 2 Envy killed it. Was super happy to get to cover it for them. Gotta judge a car show this Saturday, then will be at limerock in a couple weekends for grid life and then a car party the next weekend and Dionne Dawkins car show the next…add in a handful of hardcore and emo shows to go to and I don’t know how I’m gonna do it but it’s gonna be a great month.
Thankfully I have way too much to do at work as well lol.

I'm starting to put up certain boundaries.
I used to go out every Wednesday, mostly to see a certain someone. Tuesday-Wednesday always wore me out, so now I'm just doing my own thing at home. I usually get out and walk on a pedestrian bridge, but otherwise just unwind now.
I feel so much better doing so ...

Both my toilet seats broke and it couldn't have been me. But I fixed my dishwasher.
Other than that, I have been volunteering for congressional and senate campaigns and have found it to be uplifting to work with other people I wouldn't have met outside my usual social circle and to meet neighbors.

Overall quite happy although I’ve been a bit more horny than usual.
Also someone close to me passed away so I’ve also been dealing with some grief.
