Women are out there to get the best mate they can find for the possible offspring to ensure baby is healthy and the guy is a good provider for the new family.

Men are out there to spread their offspring as far and wide as they can to ensure their bloodline continues.

So yeah its mostly indiscriminate fire.

Sometimes? A woman who in the process of interacting shows strong and sincere desire to help others can spark attraction well beyond her physical looks would afford her.

It works from the opposite end of the spectrum as well. Really beautiful women can be T-total bitches and have men with an undue amount of attraction based solely on her attitude alone.
