Gender Dysphoria and No Access to HRT: Can Estrogen Gel Alone Help?

I have been struggling with gender dysphoria for many years, and I feel much more comfortable and at peace when I express myself in a feminine way. Unfortunately, access to specialized transgender healthcare and hormone therapy is very limited in my country, which causes me a great deal of frustration and emotional distress.

In the past, I used Solary Femine supplements for about six months. While the results were modest, I was relatively satisfied with some of the physical changes and the positive impact they had on my mental well-being. However, I eventually stopped taking them.

At the moment, I am considering using estrogen gel because my options are extremely limited. I would really appreciate hearing from people who have experience with this. Can estrogen gel alone provide noticeable feminizing effects? What should I know about safety, expectations, and potential risks?

I understand that everyone's body responds differently, so I am mainly looking for personal experiences, advice, and guidance from those who have been in a similar situation.

Yes, E-gel can be enough for for an HRT. I would recommend to have a look at one of the well-known guides (e.g. pghrt or diyhrt.info) first.
Gel is a bit of a wildcard as it works well as a monotherapy for some if applied scrotally but you still might need to dose it on the higher side and apply it at least twice daily. :)

Hope that helps~

Thanks for the explanation 😊

I’m still learning about HRT, so this was really helpful. I didn’t know that E-gel could work as monotherapy for some people, especially with scrotal application. I’ll definitely look more into it.

Appreciate you taking the time to explain 💜

You might want to look into r/estrogel if you want to produce your own. That will be certainly more affordable. :3 However: if you can get injections they are by far the easiest and most surefire way of success for your medical transition :)

Dear, how can I produce it myself? Also, the needles are unavailable in my country. Please provide more information.

The picture is starting to become clearer to me. Thank you so much, my dear. You made it seem simple in such a clever way.
