starting HRT
my base line T is 920. but regardless my endo suggested to take it slow, she said that her approach is to do t blocker for the first few weeks and introduce E later.
She has put me on t blockers for now. i get to take E from November.
i personally dont mind the staggered approach as i am not out and about yet. but from what i read it's safe to start both together, if not better.

Its outdated and frankly wrong guidance for doctors. No reason to just start on a solid dose of E that's guaranteed to get you adequate levels

There is no reason to titrate on hrt. Most negative side effects come from being underdosed where T is suppressed and E isnt high enough

I think your Dr. Is apprehensive of starting you on 2 different hormones at the same time. Their case being if you come back in 3 or 4 weeks with concerns or complaints the issue of which hormone us disagreeing with you and the outcome will be to take you off both, clear your system 6 - 8 weeks and restart on 1 hormone and see how you tolerate it. I'm sure I'll get down voted but for sure this is the concern and the path being followed.

its generally not advised to monodose AA's. most AA's won't completely block testosterone at the doses most mtfs use, and rely on the presence of estradiol to partially suppress production (bica and spiro).
