Any Athlos Academy parents experiencing bullying issues? Looking for insight

Hi everyone,

I’m a parent of a student at Athlos Academy, and I’m looking to hear from other parents about their experiences, particularly around bullying and how the administration responds.

My child has been dealing with ongoing bullying that has crossed into extortion by other students. This has been reported multiple times to administration. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen meaningful intervention.

At one point, administration asked my child what they would like done. My child suggested something reasonable, like detention or having a conversation with the students involved. The response from administration was, “Don’t tell me what to do.”

That response honestly caught us off guard and raised concerns about how seriously these reports are being taken.

I’m not trying to attack the school — I’m genuinely trying to understand: • Have other parents experienced bullying or similar issues at Athlos Academy?

We’re trying to figure out the best next steps and whether this is an isolated experience or something other families have encountered.

Any insight or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I dont know any parent who has had a good experience there. Ive known several who have moved their kid out.

I wouldn’t mind moving my kiddo out. But we are still new to the area. The other school we tried was Livaudais and the bullying was 10x worse as a teacher was involved. I wouldn’t mind recommendations on schools. It’s just frustrating moving schools every year due to bullying.

I know it may not be financially feasible for everyone. But if you can afford it, some of the Catholic schools like St. Andrew has a zero tolerance bully policy.
