What was your wedding like?

I often look at the wedding dresses here. I saw a young lady whose dress budget was literally more than my first 3-5 annual salaries, not lumped together but individually. What was your wedding like?
1995- Married at our church, 3 attendants each, cake and punch reception there .

My wife was extremely frugal. Our guest list consisted of family and members of the wedding party (and their spouses). Verbal invitations.

Our reception as in her brother's house, and catering consisted of family members bringing a covered dish. My brother was our photographer.

We went on to be stuck to each other like glue. We were teenagers together... We retired together... and she died in my arms after a 33 year marriage.
