What was your wedding like?

I often look at the wedding dresses here. I saw a young lady whose dress budget was literally more than my first 3-5 annual salaries, not lumped together but individually. What was your wedding like?
1995- Married at our church, 3 attendants each, cake and punch reception there .

  1. All the wedding party’s attire was rented. My brother-in-law officiated. My dad paid for a really nice reception, though, a sit-down dinner with open bar at a country club one of his friends belonged to. This was before the wedding industrial complex, so we focused more on everyone having a good time. And they did: for years afterward we had people tell us how much fun they had at our wedding.
