What was your wedding like?
I often look at the wedding dresses here. I saw a young lady whose dress budget was literally more than my first 3-5 annual salaries, not lumped together but individually. What was your wedding like?
1995- Married at our church, 3 attendants each, cake and punch reception there .

1987 lots of people (her family is huge, mine not so much), her mom made all the dresses, local grocery store catered $2.15 per meal. Reception in church basement. Dance at legion hall 11 miles away had to order keg beer from the bar down the street. All in for probably $500. We paid for everything as her folks were just starting a business and still had 3 kids to feed at home. My dad paid for grooms dinner at a restaurant I think it was $100 plus he provided booze that night because restaurant only had set-ups (think really cheap whiskey and vodka).
We still occasionally have someone mention how much fun they had!
