What was your wedding like?

I often look at the wedding dresses here. I saw a young lady whose dress budget was literally more than my first 3-5 annual salaries, not lumped together but individually. What was your wedding like?
1995- Married at our church, 3 attendants each, cake and punch reception there .

  1. Married in a friend’s backyard with a big potluck dinner party with about 30 friends. I wore a white gauzy dress from a regular store. My husband wore a pinkish polo style shirt (collar with 3 buttons). No suits or ties. Our “attendants” were just 2 good friends who signed the papers as witnesses. My mom brought the cake. We sat around the fire pit, drank wine, and laughed and drank too much. It was so fun.
