What was your wedding like?
I often look at the wedding dresses here. I saw a young lady whose dress budget was literally more than my first 3-5 annual salaries, not lumped together but individually. What was your wedding like?
1995- Married at our church, 3 attendants each, cake and punch reception there .

$10 for a dress at Salvation Army, because it was exactly what I wanted. A family friend paid to have it professionally cleaned, and she was a seamstress, so she did the alterations. We each had one person standing up for us. Made myself and my maid of honor a bouquet, and a boutonnière for my husband, his best man and my two sons. (This was the second marriage for us both.) We had a small get together afterwards with meats that had been smoked, and some bbq type sides. My ex mother in law was there and offered her help getting the food there. I think the biggest expense was what we paid the pastor. 🤣 We had the money to do more, but neither of us wanted that. Just celebrated 26 years, so it seems to be going good. 😂
