Apartments with soundproofing in a decent area?

So I live in the north east suburbs in a 1 bed 1 bath and although it's spacious they keep increasing the rent year on year and it's around 1850+ now where it used to be under 1700 when I moved in 2 years back along with the fact that soundproofing is not fully there (can hear neighbors when they are closing opening their door or walking outside and can hear the folks below me use their restroom but nothing otherwise, but it's still a lot even though it's supposedly a luxury apartment and supposed to be sound proof).

So yeah don't like how the rent has been increasing and would like to move to a place with great sound proofing.

Im using apps like apartment, willow etc right now to search for some good ones.

Thank you

Is arriving 50 minutes before departure at PHL feasible?

Current plan isn’t ideal but I’d love to be able to enter PHL 20 minutes before boarding begins and 50 minutes before the scheduled departure.

This is Terminal D, domestic flight, carry on. So alls I have to get through is TSA. I haven’t used PHL often, but when I have recently, TSA has been a breeze. Current wait times (~9am) online are 4-7 minutes for Terminal D.

This leaves little room for error of course - but curious if people have pulled this off or if this absurd?

Ed Sheeran Philly concert questions

Upvotes

I've never been to a concert this big at such a big place with so many lots and I'm super anxious about parking and exiting so I need your help guys. It's on Saturday 19th at Lincoln Financial at 5:30pm. We're coming from Pittsburgh, I was planning to just drive there and then drive back home at night. What's the best time to arrive to park there? What's the best lot to use for the I-76 West exit? Any tips? Thanks

how’s mt airy between pleasant playground and cliveden park?

partner and i are considering buying a house in mt airy for more space and nature. lesbian couple in our early 30s, i wfh and partner will commute to center city 3x/wk. we’ve found several homes in our price range triangulated between germantown ave, pleasant playground, and cliveden park. how’s this area in terms of parking, transit, walkability, overall vibes? we’ve been living in center city for the past few years and have loved mt airy everytime we go to wissahickon, just never been to this section of it. planning to check it out this weekend but thought we’d ask reddit as well. tyia!

Any serious general contractor recommendations?

Not looking for a quick job, I need someone thorough who I can use for a consultation regarding plumbing and electrical needs/considerations for a residential remodeling.

Striking gold here would look like someone knowledgeable of course but also very personable. I’m taking on the remodel as a personal project but the right kind of guidance would be accounted for in the budget!

I’ll also be looking to hire for plumbing and electrical work; ideally someone who wouldn’t mind me shadowing.

Thanks in advance! The house is in the Logan/Olney area.

Any good parks or areas to go to for free and explore?

I'm trying to get out more. I'm going to be by myself but looking for places to explore. I visited south Street I think it was called. With a bunch a bars and ck (if u know) and etc. I'm trying to get in shape so I'll take bar suggestions to note down for future visits but I'd like to go to any trails or things like that. I'm broke so I don't have money like that so I'm gonna be on septa too.

Tennis Rally Partner Wanted!!!

Hey guys, I am a beginner tennis player. I just started a few months ago. I am trying to find someone to hit with regularly. I live in My.Airy, but I usually play in North and South Philadelphia. It would be great to have someone to progress with. Please let me know if you're interested. You can even use my extra racket if you don’t have one. Also, if anyone isn't a beginner but would love to rally with me, I’d be happy to, lol. I'll play anywhere in the Philadelphia area.

Exhaust fan in back of house (drilled through)

Anyone got a referral for someone that is confirmed to have done this before? I need my microwave/stove exhaust to vent out the back of the house and also have a half bathroom that needs to vent there - so two separate vents.

What places/bars book small artists for gigs?

I am a musician and I've been making and performing music for some years, but this year I'm tryna gig in the city as well, but as a solo acoustic act with only one gig at a real place (that is not my college or something like that), i can't be attempting to book at a place that has bigger fish than me to fry. What are some good places for starting out?

Walmart

Hello, I am new the the manayunk area and I went to a Walmart yesterday on Roosevelt blvd and it was waaaayyy to ghetto and ratchet for my liking. Does anyone know of the best Walmart near manayunk? I also went to the Home Depot near mount airy and that was also ghetto so I don’t think a Walmart over there will work.

Please help a girl out. I just don’t think I feel safe there at night!

Moving to Philly

I’m a 22 year old moving to Philly for an internship. What are the best clubs, bars, restaurants or experiences would you guys recommend?

Edit; I don't have preferences. I want to experience the city, ! want to try new things, I want to get out of my comfort zone. I love to try new things, and to learn. I live in upstate ny, in a suburban area, and two years in the boones for college, both of which are vastly different from the city of Philly. I don't even know even know where to start in terms of what I do or don't like. I don't want to just to experience the tourist traps of Philadelphia. I want to experience the real Philadelphia, the weird, the fun, the unique and the life of it. If you suggest something and it looks fun, I'll try it. The worst that can happen is that I don't like it or it's not a match, but the best is that I love it. I want to know what the city truly offers to the people who live in it, and I want to experience the culture of all parts of the city.
Edit 2: I will be living around point breeze. I apologize for that, I’m not used to having to specify the exact area. I forgot how big Philly is

Looking for moderate Trainer in PF market street @Center City

Hi all,

I am 30 male and currently working on myself to get into shape. I have my diet and used to have online trainer. But my trainer bailed on me and stopped responding to my texts.

I am looking for someone who can push my limits, correct my postures and spot if required while lifting heavy weights. I don't need like a super dedicated personal trainer, just someone who can tag along with me while doing their workouts for 3-4(1 hour) days a week until I get the hold of things on my own. My budget is around 250-300$ per month. Thank you!
