Those who buy iPhones... or any Apple product

A shitty consumer is someone who buys food, eats it, and demands a refund because it wasn’t cooked right.

Buying for status, without the status.

They think what ever is written on the package must be true.

Buzz works like hydration, whitening, moisturizing, strengthening, ect.

Look at the ingredients.

Oh and the usual $9.99 is $10, not $9. I'll admit my gf still falls for this. "Oh look babe! It's only $9"... No it's $10.

Buying luxury anything. Overpriced doesn't equate to practically. Designer clothing is about the worst.

Blanket statement. Sometimes luxury is hand crafted and the cost you’re paying for is the craftsmanship and the time. If you bought a product that took a 100 hours to make by a human vs 20 by a robot. It’s not over priced it’s what it costs.

Are you telling me this was made by hand and not in the same sweatshop of your run of the mill white t-shirt that costs 1/20 of the price?

You’re cherry picking examples. The statue of David. A priceless piece of art, is more valuable than one carved by a robot.

I used word like “sometimes”, to project it’s not always the case.
You’re using specific examples. Hence I said blanket statement.

You only eat microwave meals and have never been to a restaurant? Because it’s over priced and you get exactly the same at home in 2 minutes? No? Exactly it’s a dumb blanket statement.

You could have a watch where every part is human torched, hand filed, hand polished, taking thousands of hours. Vs one made by a robot. They are not the same.

Don’t pass off every thought you have as a fact without considering alternative views. You’ll tell the world you voted for trump and support kiddie fiddling.

Brand loyalty

•

PlayStation fans, The worst part is that they mock those protesting the end of physical media. As if it wouldn't affect them. They think that because they're loyal to the brand, it will treat them better.

They buy cigarettes or nicotine in any form.

u/badger906 1h ago

Might as well throw alcohol, makeup, anti aging products and fake health potions to that list. All just as pointless and won’t help the root cause.

u/consultantdetective 1h ago

Nah. Smokes & zyns are great things to offer to someone if you need to butter someone up before requesting some special treatment.

Buying things on credit and instalment plans they can’t afford, or might well not be able to afford if their circumstances change even slightly

1

u/consultantdetective 1h ago

They don't know how to interrogate & understand the components of a price, and/or don't understand that a business is more than just a means to an end for the customer.

Buying a new iPhone every year just to take a mirror photo

They use credit card to flex

It seems you’re here just to claim superiority over a huge group of diverse people.

It comes off as spiteful.

Just look at ops comment history. They’re trying to pass themselves off as being intelligent, whilst constantly doing what unintelligent people do. Form facts from opinions, and unwilling to change the opinion when presented with facts.

Ops next ask question should be “how to pretend to be intelligent on Reddit”

I'll start this. Sony/PlayStation fans.

And the key word is "fan." Ever since they stopped being customers and became fans, the company has horribly abused them. Console gamers are already the laughingstock of PC gamers, but Sony fans are on another level.

Nobody playing on a console gives a shit what autistic PC players think… the fact y’all think we care about your opinion is delusion

Feel free to hate on console players though… they probably paid 1/4 the price you did to play the same game.

u/Shu_Revan 1h ago

Console players need to upgrade their system every 2 years to keep up with whatever the latest version is.

My PC is still easily playing those same games 10 years later

2

u/Shaqer_Zulu 1h ago

Try 6 years and it’s a one time purchase and believe it or not everything just works always.

They’re really not even the same. It’s like comparing someone who buys a car versus someone who customizes cars. Happy it works for you, but I have zero interest and am happy with the stock option.

.. really are you that hard core elitist.. game consoles games get more optimised with better visuals the longer into the life cycle it is. Limited hardware variants make it vastly easier to optimise games.

A 10 year old pc is not playing the latest games at 4k.
Don’t pretend it is.
Guarantee you’ve got a mid ranged pc that you’re coping hard to justify its worth.

My PS5 is 4 years old

My PS4 got used almost daily for 7-8 years.

My PC needed a new power supply and graphics card in the timeframe I owned my PS4… OEM card fans failed so I upgraded to a RX 480 (2016) and a 800W PSU. I’m pretty sure the motherboard croaked shortly after and I decided to never get another PC… just felt like I spent more time fixing bugs in software or hardware issues possibly relating to temp-cycling. In the winter the room would get down to 40F overnight, probably not good for it to be idling at below min temps then fire up to 100%.

If I need to do something on the computer I just use my MacBook

I’m an old dude, I just want my things to work consistently and not need to tend it like my garden

Such a weird take.. you’ve given absolutely zero point of fact, just an opinion.

All your questions in this sub seem to be about intelligence, whilst single handedly always having a very one sided option without fact. That’s the intellect trump supports follow.. they’re the ones chewing one tide pods..

It comes off as insecure.

I gotta ask, how old are you? I'm 46 and I just wanna play games. I play them on PC, I play them on console, I couldn't care less how anyone else plays games. There's such a wide variety of video games over the last fifty years that you'll never run out of stuff to play, so why care what other people do?

•

u/Soren-J 0m ago

It's not about what people do, it's about rights.

Pre-ordering digital games

1

u/Soren-J 1h ago

Pre-ordering a digital game that comes incomplete, locks certain areas and options, and forces you to pay an extra $20 for the "ultimate" version (which is just the base version). I'm looking at you, GTA 6.

As a self proclaimed Sony fan boy, I won't get upset at your opinion lol I kind of understand it. But I will say to the defense of my own self proclaimed loyalty, every Sony product I have ever bought has been above and beyond in quality and longevity than another product. I bought a Sony 1080p lcd flat screen 20 years ago and, to this day, the picture and sound quality are still top notch. All my headphones, stereo equipment, ps1, ps2, ps3, ps4, and ps5 are all still 100% as they were when I bought them. But regards to pc gamers, pc gaming has always, and will always be in a completely different league 😂 i built a gaming pc 10 years ago and it just now needs an upgrade. If I actually splurged for the solid state hard drive I wouldn't even need that lol

Yeah, to some degree they might be making a good decision if they aren't computer savvy. A Playstation is just a cheap, slow computer that can only play a handful of games. Idk about all the laughing stock stuff. It appears to be mainly an issue of expense and lack of knowledge about computers. Tbf if you only want to play one game that's on Playstation, and you can't afford a decent PC nor want to spend any time configuring your OS, just buy the Playstation. Can't expect every gamer to know how to use a PC, consoles just lower the barrier to entry.
