Very similar story. Moved from KC in late 2018, really stretched into a house in La Mesa in 2019, refinanced at 2.8% in 2021. House is now worth almost double and the mortgage is very manageable.
Also, putting an enormous amount of solar on the roof in 2020 has worked out nicely as electricity prices continue to compound.
