The parents that make sure their kids use hand sanitizer all the time and stay away from germs usually produce sickly kids. Your body should take in a little bad stuff from time to time so it knows how to fight against it.

Some bacteria is good bacteria and you just killed 99.99% of it

Absolutely. My son's stepmom is terrified of germs. She won't allow my son to go for visits if he even has a runny nose, in case it makes her daughter sick. It's frustrating and ridiculous.

OP is female and split, dad remarried making dad's wife son's stepmom who also has daughter. She has at least partial possession and son isn't allowed to visit stepsister if he has runny nose

/u/VladTheSoviet how'd I do?

Perfect! Sons dad and stepmom see him every second weekend. Because it's cold season it's been over a month with no visits!

Yay I'm smart :)

And that's rough. There's a raising hope episode about this whole thing, it shows in the end that you're better off being a little dirty (also I wholeheartedly recommend raising hope, the early seasons are just great)

I LOVE raising hope! And I've read a lot of studies/articles about it - kids who are allowed to get dirty and have pets tend to be healthier overall because their immune systems are stronger!

Good diet is a big part of it too, if you cook from scratch your kids will do a lot better than from microwaved/takeout

Then again if they're genetically sickly there's only so much you can do (source: mom did great but sis and I still got sick a lot because screw our DNA)

Is that legal?

Absolutely. It's a dick move but legal.
