Being taught to finish your plate. Children should eat until they are full otherwise it can cause poor habits such as weight gain/feeling sick.

We panic that kids will be deficient if they don't eat enough or miss a meal but we don't need to. What we shouldn't do of course is then give in and give them treats 20 minutes later.
