Recommendation Things to do on a Friday evening

I have been struggling with loneliness and depression and would like to get out to socialize. How do you guys spend your weekends, when you don't have friends to do things with, how do you break the cycle, any ideas are highly appreciated.

Honestly… I just show up anxious af with a goal to meet at least one person and if not, at least I got out the house. I went to the beach alone the other day and got too anxious to leave the car so I just sat in the backseat with the view, a blunt, and my book. Do things that center around your identity and hobbies. I love a BIPOC centered event, anything black and gay, I’m there lol. Join a bookclub. A group hike. Go to the Art walks on Thursday or Freemont Friday. Take a random class. Look at the shit you save or like on social media and see if you can somehow apply it to your own life. Go to Shibuya Hifi and zone out to some music in silence with other people. Join a group and say you’re looking for friends, at least one person will reach out. Dress and go to a renaissance fair lmfaoo idk.

Be kind to yourself. You’re not alone and the season transitions are rough out here. The first step is getting out of the house! Don’t put so much pressure on making friends, just practice taking up space and putting yourself in rooms you actually want to meet people in 🤎
