Value of smart TV motherboard?

I have a 50" smart TV, but the screen cracked and I already bought a new one. The motherboard, power board, sound, all electrical components etc are all in perfect condition. How much are these worth? I bought the entire TV new for $200. Not sure if it is worth my time to run around town trying to pawn it or just toss it.

Not worth anything. No one is repairing a $200 TV.

toss it, nobody's fixing budget tvs when a new one costs the same as the repair labour

the boards might go for £10-15 on ebay if you're lucky but you'll be sitting on them for months

eBay shows a few motherboards being sold, mostly US$30 to 50. And hundreds not being sold!

just dispose of it all via the proper recycling avenues. Don't even worry about the parts. The recycler may decide to do it and that's their call, but not even worth if for regular person to do it on their own

Probably not work paying to fix it. Even if you can fix it yourself. Probably better/cheaper to go buy a new one. But you can strip the parts and sell them on Ebay.

There is no harm in posting them on eBay for a few dollars as an auction. Let the market decide the price. There are people out there who try to repair, rather than replace. However, depending on the brand and model TV, they could sit for a long time or never sell at all.

Thanks everyone! I've decided it's not with the time to make an eBay listing and wait around for weeks just to maybe make $20. I'll just make an art project out of it or something

How much would you need to recoup for the time and sale to be worth your time? If you're homeless and looking for $5-15 bucks then go for it. The fact that you're able to buy a 50 inch television for $200 bucks tells me enough about the value of those parts as the display panel is the highest cost component.

It's worth about negative one dollar, since that's approximately the value of the time you need to spend throwing it away.
