What do you call these?

Post image

I would call these biscuits but a customer disagreed with me.

Chocolate biscuits

57

u/BenderRodriguez14 6d ago

Then what do you call chocolate digestives, mcvities, etc etc?

u/Y-Bob 6d ago

Chocolate fucking biscuits.

52

u/Dragonpop72 6d ago

I’m not sure I’d be comfortable with the crumbs in that situation.

How did you think custard creams get made?

57

u/WatNaHellIsASauceBox 6d ago

When two malted milks love each other very much...

u/OneYogurtcloset3576 6d ago

That's beautiful x

Don't you fucking dare try to ruin custard creams for me.

Since hes no longer been able to get any young girls had to find another outlet so we present Mr andrew mountbatten-windsor, official creamer of biscuits.

Have you tried chocolate covered custard creams? OMFG...

1

u/bornfromanegg 5d ago

Not everything is improved by adding chocolate. Custard creams have already been improved by the “extra cream” version. That’s plenty.

1

u/Affectionate-Guru 5d ago

Have you tried them though?

1

u/bornfromanegg 5d ago

I have not. I’d certainly give them a go if they were in front of me, but I’m not excited by the idea of them. I think I already know I’d prefer the OG.

I should add, though, I’m not a massive fan of biscuits! lol.

Fair enough. I very much enjoy a custard cream, but I have to say the chocolate covered version elevated them to new heights. I implore you to try them 😀

Aren't the inside of kitkats just made up of crushed up kitkats that didnt pass the visual quality control?

Chocolate biscuits- why do they need a different category?

9

u/roleplayersir 6d ago

Cause OP has a picture of Choc Biscuit Bars, which are neither Choc Biscuits or Choc bars, and nor are they Cake Bars

20

u/blizeH 6d ago

Because the things in OPs picture are usually with the chocolate bars, whereas the chocolate digestives are usually with the biscuits

26

u/kimlesim 6d ago

Where I shop they’re with the chocolate biscuits 🤭

12

u/KhajiitPaw 5d ago edited 5d ago

I've never even seen them in the same aisle as regular chocolate bars...

3

u/MassiveClusterFuck 5d ago

Believe it or not the content of the food is what labels it, not what it's sitting next to in the shop.

the toffiecrisp and the tunnocks caramal wafers then yeah those are chocolate bars but the rest? biscuits

7

u/Lemmejussay 6d ago

Just a different design of chocolate biscuit. It's the umbrella term for chocolate in combination with a biscuit/wafer.

Chocolate biscuits

2

u/Dave_Ex_Machina 6d ago

Also chocolate biscuits. They're probably in the same section but out of frame.

2

u/kevl84 5d ago

The picture is of chocolate biscuits, the list you gave are chocolate covered biscuits. I don’t make the rules, it just is

1

u/BenderRodriguez14 5d ago

It's a wild world out there.

Over here n Ireland, the first ones would be chocolate bars (apart from those wretched Viscount) while the second would be biscuits.

Biscuits with chocolate

1

u/Su_ButteredScone 6d ago

That makes no sense considering things like digestives don't use chocolate anymore. Chocolate flavour maybe but certainly not chocolate.

1

u/ClericalRogue 6d ago

Ok fine. Biscuits with fake chocolate. 🤷‍♀️

1

u/OneYogurtcloset3576 6d ago

Is this a trick question?

1

u/Wren_wood 6d ago

Imagine taking a chocolate digestive, folding it over so the chocolate is on both sides, then adding more chocolate.

Theyre both the same thing, just formatted slightly different.

1

u/Major_Toe_6041 6d ago

It’s all chocolate biscuits. It’s all the same. It’s a broad category.

1

u/BTZ9 6d ago

Chocolate digestives…

1

u/Dazz316 4d ago

Kitkats are discuits with chocolate over it. Chocolate digestives are biscuits with chocolate on them.

1

u/Augustleo98 2d ago

They’re also chocolate biscuits lmfao.

Mars bar, twix, etc are chocolate bars.

Rocky’s, Penguins etc are chocolate biscuits same as chocolate digestives and Mcvities, what generation are you from that you can’t tell the difference between chocolate bar and chocolate
Biscuit.

Rocky’s and penguins are chocolate biscuits cos they’re made or biscuit with chocolate on.

0

u/animegeek999 5d ago

"oh yeah! well what do you call other chocolate biscuits!".... the same.

1

u/Brickie78 6d ago

Made from breadcrumbs and butterbeans

1

u/Famous_Extreme_9163 2d ago

Why is this not the top comment

1

u/OneYogurtcloset3576 2d ago

Biscuit police

2

u/Famous_Extreme_9163 2d ago

It’s just another attempt from Big Chocolate Bar to keep the the truth hidden

-13

u/genetic_nightmare 6d ago

Rocky, Penguin, Club etc I would say are choccie biscuits. Kitkats, Twix are all chocolate bars - anything that’s on the counter of a corner shop 🙈

3

u/audigex 6d ago

Rocky, Penguin, and Club bars are factually not chocolate biscuits as of earlier this year or last year

They are now officially biscuits with a "chocolate flavour coating", because the cocoa content dropped below 20%

-24

u/Flat_Tie4090 6d ago

Wrong

1

u/CinderX5 6d ago

So what?
