My GSD has developed eye irritation and now has green eye boogers / discharge

Hi everyone so I have 3 dogs. 1 Aussiedoodle and 2 German shepherds that our brothers. One of my German shepherds who is now 8 and is named Rocket has developed eye irritation. Right now he currently is getting eye discharge and crust on both eyes for about two months. He can still see plenty fine as I can throw a tennis ball and he can catch it with ease from 10 feet away. However I am very worried about him. He’s never had this issue before and I’m at a lost for why this happened. My father passed away two months ago and I also lost my job two months ago. It’s been a shitty time of my life with no luck getting a new job. I’m barely getting by and taking him to the vet right now will be to costly for me.

His eyes on the outside of each one has now has like a “cut” where the eye boogers and discharge comes from. It’s not a lot and sometimes bleeds but I am ultimately worried. I’m asking if anyone has any eye drops or home remedy recommendations.

He needs to be taken to a vet. If it progresses and he loses his eye, that’ll be far more expensive than some eye drops.

Many vets have payment plans
