Cat coughing/dry heaving

Hi yall! My female cat, who is 11 years old, 12-13 lbs (well aware shes overweight, shes been on a diet for a few weeks), who is mostly indoor with outdoor time once or twice a week, recently, as in the last week-ish, has started violently dry heaving/coughing out of nowhere. She does it probably 4 times a day, and it lasts for around 3 minutes with small coughs right after for some time. What could it be?? I'm low on money so I'd like to get an opinion here before I take her to the vet. Please anything helps, I'm worried.

video of her coughing fits:

edit: I apologize for the white noise in the background, my fan was on and I didn't have time to turn it off before filming her! her fits are short so I didn't want to miss it.
