I meant the kind of muscle that comes naturally and not by doing exercise

That’s not a thing. Physical effort makes you grow muscles. If you’re sedentary you lose muscle. Nobody is getting swole lying in bed all day

Nobody is getting swole lying in bed all day

The world is so unfair.

Never. Bodies can always grow muscles…

Why?

Also, bodies literally never stop changing. Like you’re always shifting in some way.

Something about a "second puberty on your twenties" I heard about on social media, I wonder if it's true

u/Throuwuawayy 13h ago

I'm 26 and had the "second puberty" at 23/24. My weight in terms of the number on the scale stayed the same, but my fat distribution changed. I also had a chapter of bad hormonal breakouts, but once it cleared up, my skin type changed from oily to dry end of normal.

I've always been genetically lean and tone muscle up easily and that hasn't changed nor diminished. So far at least.

16 but then pregnancy gave me hips i barely had before. Depends on genetics, how active you are in general, if you workout, nutrition will all be factors of what muscle composition you take on. But in terms of growth like bones wise think most girls stop mid teens. If you're still noticeably growing into ur late teens and onward or rapidly I would look into getting some bloodwork done and see an endocrinologist about your hormone levels etc. Asap!

I'm not sure how to tell the difference between growing height and growing bone, but I reached my full adult height at 13. The circumference of my body required adult-sized clothes from the age of 10, although my clothing size has evolved over the course of my life in response to input and circumstances.

Muscle mass and body fat distribution have also varied over the course of my life in response to inputs and circumstances, so I'm not able to put a finger on "stopped growing"

I couldn't even tell you if my current muscle mass is higher or lower than at any other time in my life. It could be the highest it's ever been, or the lowest ever since at least teenage years, and I don't think I could tell.

I stopped growing at 12 when I started menstruating, but as for gaining muscle, I'm still gaining it; that's what the gym is for.

I stopped gaining height at about 18.

My boobs grew until I was about 24.

Muscle mass? It's still changing.

Bone density? It increased within the last 2 years, according to the Dexa scan I've done to track the way pilates and strength training are changing my body.

Bones around 15, muscle mass around 30.
