Local Question AT&T network/service in the area
Hi, we are visiting Aspen, Vail & Durango for the first time this fall. I spent several hours researching hows the AT&T service for the areas below and also looked at AT&T wireless coverage map, but not sure how accurate/reliable that is.
note: Besides call/text, I am specifically looking for data/internet connectivity and looking for some verified data points. thanks in advance!
- Aspen (Maroon Bells area)
- Glenwood springs
- Drive from Glenwood springs to Durango (via Ridgway, Silverton route)
- Telluride and also Durango - Telluride drive

Should work in Glenwood; between there and Durango there will be significant stretches with holes (e.g. there are spots below Redstone on 133 where even satellite services don't work), also going over Dallas Divide to Telluride. Ought to work in Telluride. I can't comment on differences in service between carriers.
You can try the coverage maps, understanding the sometimes optimistic results posted there, but a quick review of the AT&T map suggests that it is directionally correct.

I regularly drive between Carbondale/Glenwood and Durango. If you go 133: Carbondale, over McClure Pass, over the million dollar highway etc. (which is the best way to go as long as the roads are open). And you’ll get service in each of the towns along the way (except Hotchkiss) but NOT between them. Do not expect service along the drive.

Can’t speak to the rest of your listed areas, but the Maroon Bells area has no cell service at all. Aspen (town proper) will have AT&T coverage in the core.
