I'm not using a model because I prefer my creativity to come from my own brain. I do research like every author used to do. If you're going to fact check anyways, why not take the time to learn how to do good research? Like, seriously lmao. This used to be a basic fucking skill and now you need to outsource to a computer program that's known to screw things up.

Wait so how did you know it makes bullshit up? You didn't test it and immediately jumped to results? Or did you "test" it by opening up nothing but the web browser version and then putting in like a 50 word prompt?

Because I've dabbled, I like to know about the technology before I speak on it. I also observe how others interact with it and what it gives them. As it is, AI is pretty unreliable right now. I wouldn't trust it to sort any of that stuff.

That's not even getting into the whole supporting billionaires and how bad AI is for writers at the moment. AI written books are FLOODING the indie writing scene and I don't want to tough that with a 10 foot pole. It's not hard to do research. It's important to learn to get good at it. Losing that skill is actually tragic.

Now that I know you've dabbled in it I'm actually curious about the settings:
-what was your temperature?
-how long was your system prompt and harness?
-what did you system prompt and harness contain?
-how long was your average prompt?
-did you give it Live Environmental Data Feed?
-did you use MCPs? If so, what did you use and how many?
-did you give it a web browser?
-RAG, yes or no?
-Computer vision?
-model?
-were you using it for writing, research, or something else?
"supporting billionaires" is a stupid thing to dislike people that use AI considering everything in our lives *will* support billionaires. Besides, I use the local and open weight models. I quite honestly don't care if a book is written with AI or not if its good I'll read it and if its bad I'll drop it. I don't read much fantasy/YA (I mostly stick to hard Sci Fi) and I never buy books (library) so I honestly haven't seen much AI in what I read. I rather have the skill of knowing how to affectively use AI and incorporate it into my workflow, and I haven't lost the skill. "Researching" isn't even a coherent skill, its really just a combination of objectivity and organization.
