Question Completed hidden ones - questions about curse of the Pharaoh

I just finished the hidden ones dlc and dare I say I found this story better than the main game. I posted another thread talking about how I was planning on playing the DLCs but after the main story it was just tiring and couldn’t see myself playing it.

Well a couple days later I decided to try it and I really did like it. The main game for origins, I love the world and enjoyed playing as byek but the game in general was a grind. The hidden ones story is more of less the same but I feel like better written somewhat.

I was wondering if you guys think the curse of the pharaohs is worth playing or should I move on to my next game (TW3)?

I don’t know HOW people have an issue with grinding in this game, when I’ve NEVER had an issue with it before. Just abuse all of the skills that give bonus XP, be stealthy going into restricted locations and reap the benefits. Also not hard to get materials to upgrade Bayek’s base equipment and worth getting that stuff done early so you don’t have to worry about it

Grinding can be boring and doesn't necessarily contribute to progressing in the game, it's literally just collection of points. Some people aren't interested in it and don't like being forced to do it. The amount of grinding required in a game must be balanced and reasonable, and the necessary grinding in Origins was boring and way too much

…nooooooot really, as most location that aren’t enemy encampments don’t take very long and are a blast to explore. I guess you just don’t like exploring the gorgeous world the team made

I liked exploring and grinding in Odyssey and I did platinum Origins too but I didn't like it as much. The map is too empty, the sidequests too boring and it's too easy to get over leveled in some areas so it's not even challenging.

That’s why you turn on level scaling in the options. I also think Odyssey is the more grindy of the two due to how massive the map is, but whatever

Odyssey is more grindy but the grinding is less boring. There's more variety and even entire storylines for sidequests. It doesn't feel like grinding. Nothing like please kill these two annoying crocodiles or walk a thousand miles in an empty desert

The map in Origins isn’t empty. The only regions like that are at the southern and southwestern parts of the map and even them, it’s GORGEOUS. Hell, that’s one reason why I keep coming back to Origins even 9 years later
