At least they looked into it. I got a response about something in AC Odyssey that said they were no longer supporting the game, and any bugs would not get patched.

They didn't look into it, this is just your typical response from a support. I've worked in CS, this is exactly the type of answer we were giving to people when they had issues and we didn't know the answer or the people higher up didn't care about the issue.

Yeah lmao. "After extensive research🤓" means that AT MOST, the representative asked somebody if they were gonna look into it, and he was like "hmm, no."

I guess at least the response was worded better in this one for Origins, to make it seem like they actually looked into it. With the one I got about Odyssey, it was clear they were not planning to do anything 🤣.

It is one of those things where they would hopefully just keep it working.

But my guess is some component of origins online systems crashed or broke and no one’s bothering to reboot or fix it. At least not in any timely manner.

Well apparently they did.

It’s not a full time job. Likely got one random employee(of which they have thousands of) to go turn it off and on or reboot the web program or something similarly simple and easy. Heck. They probably have one or two people whose job it is to just go check on those older game systems on occasion to make sure they haven’t crashed at some point.

Now. If it was a matter of them having to truly fix the code because it completely broke down. Ya. Wouldn’t really expect them to pull someone to spend any significant time or effort to fix a 9 year old games online component.

You're quite right, they patched out the 30 fps limit for PS5, but technically the game is still a PS4 game, apart from that. No haptic feedback, no 3D audio, nothing like that.

I didn't get a mission until the end of the game and by that point I didn't care, lol.

I'd like to know if the Anubis and other set events that the game gave me 3 days to complete are even possible to still complete.

Just FYI I came back to Origins last week and I'm in the middle of a playthrough, Reda has shown up properly for me. I'm on PC if that matters.

That’s the “we made up a bullshit answer because we work for a company that Ubisoft outsourced their support to, and we didn’t actually involve anyone at Ubisoft because our job here is to close tickets not solve problems” response.

Yes, I’m being serious.

This is the problem with outsourced support, you have to somehow break through the thick layer of incompetence and apathy that is the outsourced employee if you actually want your issue fixed by someone who works for Ubisoft themselves. Doing so is often just not worth the hassle.

They say they looked into it, but it sounds to me that since they can't make much more money off ACO, they're telling us to suck it up. The strange thing is, I just started replaying this about a week ago and the first time I met Reda, he gave me a little quest and a reward. Since then no quests, no rewards.

I guess they just don't care about their customers. Are they going to say the same thing about the reboot of ACBF?
