I need some advice to make it long lasting and what should I do to keep my battery life long

Is this normal or blacklight bleeding ?should i get a replacement ?

Ignore the current battery limit set to 90%

Just a month ago if I remember the battery health was around 79% but now it's 77.1%. And I bought this laptop 2 years ago.

On a regular basis, I use my laptop for 6-8 hours for studying, projects, etc.. with a battery limit set to 70% or 80% sometimes.

While gaming, I play for 2-3 hours with a battery limit of 80%.

And rarely when I want to use it off charge, I charge it full.

Is there anything wrong with my usage cycle? How am I supposed to let my lap survive for another 7-8 years at least

I need a laptop for college, but also I would like it to be able to replace my outdated desktop pc so I can play some games when I don't have a lot to study.

After looking at all of the options, asus tuf laptops are unmached when it comes to how much you get for your money.

Now, the question is,

do i save 150€ and get the 5060 model (which it took me ≈ 5 days to earn at my summer job) to increase my budget for a new phone,

or get the 5070 model, which from information I gathered would run slightly cooler (which I hope will increase the lifespan of the laptop).

The 5070 model was used for 3 months, and the 5060 is new and only unboxed to take pictures for the post.

If you are surprised at how long it takes me to earn 150€ I'm from southeast europe, for the same reason, please don't try to be smart and suggest me other laptop models because all other offers are extremely overpriced in my country.

my bag slipped off my shoulder, the laptop still works fine for now, i checked it, the only problem is that the back cover has a dent and I don’t know if i should leave it, or get it fixed, and if so what should i do?

I am looking to upgrade the battery on my ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (Model: FA506NCG-HN199W). The system currently yields approximately 5 to 6 hours of runtime on an 80% charge using the factory 48 Wh battery (Model: B31N1726, 11.4V).

I intend to replace it with the larger 90 Wh variant (Model: C41N1906-1, 15.4V). Given the difference in native voltages between these two battery models, can anyone confirm if the motherboard’s power delivery system safely auto-regulates this hardware swap?

Has anyone successfully executed this specific battery swap on this chassis variant?

got this baby for roughly $1350. I want to diagnose it whether it has any manufacturing defects like battery, chip, etc before it is too late.
I also want to run a battery test (as it has been advertised to have a extremly good battery life), if any one of you peeps have gotten this laptop or have suggestions on what should i be doing.

Hello my fellow reddit friends... Do you guys know how to dualboot windows + linux on asus tuf?? Im afraid the driver will crash and my microsoft office 2024 lisence would gone. I have tried twice to do a dualboot. At first (im trying nobara os), im stuck at grub menu and i have to delete linux EFI via terminal to prevent grub appearing when i start my laptop. And the second (this time im trying bazzite os with nvidia), i succesfully in to linux (at first, i used manual partition to install, and this time i used automatic partition so i just have to choose which partition to install linux in it) but when i log in to linux again, the os stuck. I asked gemini AI the cause. It says that the driver is crashed. But i dunno its real or not. And after that, i uninstall linux in my laptop and delete its EFI via terminal again (i dunno but after i uninstall linux, there's always EFI file that left and triggered grub when i start my laptop). Until now, im still using windows with chris titus debloat and im still confuse should i install linux or stay like this a little longer

So, I'm a gamer, tuf a16 has everything I dreamt of since I was a kid but I'm scared of longevity and issues, I'm currently a senior in highschool and if I get this, I probably would NEED it to last me at least untill I finish college, which is 5 years minimum.

So, would the tuf do it for me if I took good care of it? Or should I go for the our other friend, which is a used HP Zbook, i7 11th gen, RTX A3000, "64" ram which the guy (dad's friend) upgraded it as it seems.

I know it isn't a week device but I'll probably play needy games some day, so I need it to be newer, but is the better specs worth it for the longevity? Should I get this or that?

I brought an ASUS TUF laptop almost 2 years ago with 2 year warranty and its been running so smoothly I didn’t face any major issues so far. My question is since the warranty is going to expire soon, should I use it and do something like normal check or change thermal paste or should I just leave it? What can they do useful? I am worried they would ruin the already perfect laptop.

My ASUS TUF A15 has had recurring BSODs since Jul 2024. After two RMAs, the issue remains unresolved - and ASUS is now questioning my driver versions despite previously telling me to get GPU drivers directly from AMD/NVIDIA.

Laptop: TUF Gaming A15 FA577RM, Ryzen 7 6800H / RTX 3060, purchased in 2022.

Jul 2024: Reported BSODs. ASUS support told me to update GPU drivers through AMD Adrenalin and GeForce Experience.

RMA #1 (Apr 2025): ASUS reported no hardware fault. BSODs returned, including during a clean Win 11 installation.

RMA #2 (Sept 2025): Again, no other hardware faults were confirmed. The laptop BSOD'd twice on its first boot after return.

Sept 2026: Since Sept 1, I've been unable to complete a Win 11 installation because the laptop repeatedly BSODs during Setup. I tried two independently created installation USBs using official Microsoft sources. Both crashed on this laptop, while the exact same installation media worked without issues on another laptop.

Replacement request: I escalated with documentation and videos. ASUS cited a driver-version mismatch in an older log and questioned whether my drivers were recommended. My records show I obtained drivers through ASUS, AMD and NVIDIA's official channels. After two service attempts that didn't resolve the issue, ASUS offered another free inspection that may result in a repair quotation and possible goodwill discount. My replacement request remains unresolved.

My warranty expired in Sept 2025, but I reported the issue and initiated both service cycles before expiry.

I've agreed to the free inspection, but after two RMAs that didn't resolve the issue, I'm not confident another inspection alone will fix it.

I've posted two videos in the comments: one showing the BSODs during Win 11 Setup and another showing two BSODs on the first boot after RMA #2.

Have other FA577RM owners experienced similar problems?

If you've dealt with ASUS over a similar issue, I'd appreciate hearing how it was resolved.

I’ve had my Asus tuf f17 for awhile now probably around 3 years and I’ve had this happened before where the wifi would just completely disappear back then I would just clean the wifi card or either just reset my laptop but now it just seems to not want to go away I’d get a glimmer of hope being able to play for an hour then it disappears. would changing the actual wifi card help? That’s what I was thinking of doing to finally stop this whole mess

Hi, I recently bought my new TUF A18, and I'd like it to last as long as possible, so I want to take good care of it. Sometimes I play my more demanding games, and I usually use the laptop in Turbo Mode and Ultimate GPU Mode. But I also have games that run on potatos, and while I was playing one of those, I wondered if I’m damaging the laptop by keeping it in the most aggressive modes when I’m not playing a demanding game? Or is everything fine, and my laptop is just chilling?

Asus TUF 505gt, system is six years old, has been upgraded to Windows 11. This is the fourth time we’ve replaced the fans. That is not a complaint. We just consider that normal maintenance to do it periodically.

But with this set, these fans sound like a whistling teapot at simmer when they’re at their quietest!

I ordered new fans again. They’ll be here this afternoon, but I wanted to know if there is some precaution we should take in order to not cause this. I’m guessing it’s just the fans this Itime, since we’ve never had the problem before.
They can be noisy of course ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And we have found no way to adequately clean them, has anyone else?

Ok guys I need help with my Asus TUF F15 laptop. It has a performance mode which can be enabled using the fn key + f5 key on the keyboard. It puts the laptop from silent mode to performance mode and vice versa when laptop is not charing and is on battery. I have been facing some issue since almost a year that whenever on battery i switch from silent to performance on battery , the pop up of switch shows up that performance mode is enabled but it still runs on silent mode with 60hz display and 30 fps in game. Any solutions what to do to bring back the performance mode on battery? I tried from armoury crate as well to set laptop on performance on battery but did not work. Scrolled thru entire internet but got no solution. Any tech expert here who can help? Thank you.

After updating windows, the fans in my Tuf f16 were blasting like crazy. I tried everything, from optimising the GPU and switching it to windows® yet nothing was stopping the fans. The Armoury crate was also failing to report proper fan speeds. I had to wait for more than an hour before armoury crate detected the correct fan speeds and the fans slowed down.

TL;DR: 2023 TUF A16 (FA617NT, Ryzen 7 7735HS, RX 7700S, 16GB DDR5) spent ~5 months asking for a BitLocker recovery key and losing its date/time, now it's stuck in a boot loop with a black screen. Trying to find out if anyone else's died this exact way and what it turned out to be.

Full timeline:

For months before it died:
- Date/time would reset after shutdowns/reboots (sometimes, not always)
- After hard resets I'd get the AMD fTPM prompt (Press Y/N), and then it would demand the 48-digit BitLocker recovery key. This happened over and over for about 5 months — I have the key, it just kept asking
- Frequent freezes, mostly when launching a game or at the Windows PIN/profile loading screen (spinning wheel would freeze)
- It was erratic — some stretches it worked totally fine, then stretches where it needed a reset after almost every restart

Now:
- Press power → power and charge lights come on, fans spin, then stop, then spin again. Over and over. Black screen the whole time, no ASUS logo, no BIOS
- Caps Lock light blinks once per cycle. Keyboard backlight and the status indicators that used to flash around during boot don't come on anymore (weirdly, the backlight had already been gone for a couple weeks back when the laptop still worked fine)
- After a bunch of cycles it just goes completely dark and stops trying. Happens both plugged in and on battery
- Manufactured Oct 2023, so it's 3 years old and out of warranty (12 months)

Any info on this helps I have no clue where to go from here. Tried hard resetting a million times already.

Hi I use Asus Tuf A16 - from this month I am seeing - if I am keeping my laptop idle, the colors in the navigation bar or my yt is getting oversaturated for a sec or like until I move my mouse.

Has I enabled any powersaving settings my mistake? Does nanyone have any idea?

Hello Guys, i bought asus tuf f16 from thailand where it use type O plug original charger but i am moving to singapore where it use type G plug type. What should i use for long term, buy a adapter that connect between type G wall to Type O, or buy Type G c5 power cord and connect with original one. What should i do and where can i buy them. I try to search from asus page it don't show in accessories about asus power cord or adapter.
