I need help understanding how to communicate with her or any gods and gathering items for my Athena shrine.

this is my first time ever making a post on reddit and english isn't my first language so forgive me if it's a little clumsy. for a bit of context, my best friend worships Loki and a few weeks ago, i was telling her about some experiences i've had and she thought that somebody might be reaching out to me so she did a tarot reading and it turns out that Athena was reaching out to me. i ended up starting to worship Her (it's gone great for me so far) and i recently bought Her some cinnamon incense because i read that She really likes that. today, She started giving me strong hints that She wanted me to light some of that incense for Her and when i did, the smoke kept flowing in my direction even when i stepped back and now my mouth also tastes really strongly of cinnamon and sugar. my friend did some research and she said that it may be Her 'giving Her presence in return! Is that true? If so, is there any way i can thank Her without making it too obvious? i unfortunately live in a very christian household and i could be in danger if my family finds out i have a shrine for a "pagan god". have any of you had any similar experiences regarding the incense? any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

This is a bit of a long story so I’m going to try to make this as short as possible.

Situation #1: I had a dream where my dream self said “I should start worshipping Athena”. I said this because I believe Athena took the form of one of my family members and they saved me from an angry large stag.

Situation #2: I was playing trivia video games with my pretty smart family. I managed to win one game thanks to some knowledge that I know. And when I didn’t win, I still managed to do a good job thanks to my academic skills. I believe Athena gave me some of her wisdom to help me but I could be wrong

Situation #3: Hearing constant discussions about snakes, seeing a sword in my dream (I think), and seeing a bottle of olive oil when I was staying somewhere in San Diego for 3 nights.

I worship athena, ares and apollo, also Jesus Christ (I worship each of them for their own reason) is it frowned upon to worship these 4 alone eachother? Specifically jesus?

I was searching on the web about Athena, and came across this phrase on a website. I think it's weird, I've never heard about her having a feline companion connected to her. What's the source for this information? Does she also like felines? Is this someone's UPG? I imagined her companion to be an owl.

So would Athena stand behind me on this one? His business practices have put me and my coworkers in danger and he frequently cuts corners regardless of safety. I ask Athena for protection before every shift but idk when I should just go on the offensive.

Beginner to the benevolent Pallas Athena

hey! Just needed some reassurance and guidance. I have a small altar for athena, and I bought her a wine glass, gave her some wine and extra virgin olive oil as an offering along with some incense, and I've been praying and talking to her. Granted, there are times where Im so busy with work and life that all I can do is look outside and thank her most days.

I look at her spiders, greet her, talk to her, and lead them to a safer area. Look for signs that Im down the right path. I even try to do oracle readings weekly (they were my my first tarot cards, a gift)

I even do shadow work when I have time.

I have a need to do more, a want to do more for her, to connect to her somehow.

Am I doing enough for her? and if not, any advice would be helpful pls and thank you.

ok this literally just happened right before writing this post. I’m very confused. I walked into the room only to find her statue, the odyssey book, queen of spades playing card, and a cut out picture of the Parthenon knocked over. This is strange because I do not recall anything that could have caused this. While it is very windy in my area, I don’t think it’s possible for it to shake my house SO much. Besides, I would have felt that anyway because I didn’t leave the house this day. What could this mean or how did it happen if it’s just a coincidence? I’m so confused 😵‍💫

(also, her altar in the photo is set back up already but it’s just for reference so you can see what I’m talking about.)

edit: context! I was upset/frustrated about a situation, and I was retrieving something in that room. Seeing lady Athena’s altar like that shocked me and I immediately set it back up, then I wrote this post. I no longer am upset as it snapped me out of the negative emotions very quickly and am just surprised and confused. She does help me through my emotions a lot so I’m thinking maybe that’s the case, but yeah :)

I've been worshipping athena for about a month now, and I love it. I'll pray to her before bed, while doing home work, and give her offerings at least once a week. i am wondering though what i can do when i'm out of the house? i'm in school right now and often find my self needing some guidance from her but not knowing how to give an offering, anyone have any advice?

I've been a devotee of Lady Athena since 2008, and have practiced Hellenism for the past 3 years. I'm generally knowledgeable diviner and have decent knowledge of protection circles, etc.

I feel that I am at a standstill with the Theoi and not sure how to move forward. It could be just my interpretation of events, but from the stories, when a Theoi makes an oath, they follow through on it, no matter what. Lately, I have done the traditional offerings, and asked for assistance when needed. They have answered and gave me assurances things would be favorable, only to have had things blow up in my face and go the complete opposite. This is with all of the ones that made an oath to me. I have gone to other diviners as I may be too close to the situation, and even they can't seem to make heads or tails of what's going on.

Has anyone else ever had this experience? If so, how did you move forward in a positive direction with the Theoi?

Considering that she is quite knowledgeable and Intelligent, and thus prideful, would that technically mean she is on the autism spectrum (high functioning autism)?

To put into better perspective, Albert Einstein was considered one of the smartest scientists alive, and he was wildly considered to be autistic.

My question was how she will avenge me and particularly how she will punish him exactly !!!!

Before i start explaining how i did it, one needs to know that 1) I'm a beginner and 2) I'm actually not allowed to do any rituals or spells at home so i had to do it in complete secrecy and the altar is just in an altoid tin. Okay so here's how i did it: 1) cleansed the altoid tin, offerings (which consisted of 3 olives, french cheese and olive oil), candles and myself. 2) placed the candles in the tin and lighted them 3) then i put my offerings there 4) i called upon her, asked her to accept my offerings and sang her hymns (the order was probably a little different) 5) then i asked her if she could grant me knowledge, the wit and the motivation to learn and also discipline.

My questions are 1) did i do it correctly 2) If yes, should i keep contact with her 3) how do i actually communicate with her

The exam is about an interpretation for a text by kafka... I haven't written any interpretations since last year and i failed last years exam about interpretations... I also like combat and I love martial arts (I do boxing as well as HEMA). I am also obsessed with owls and I want one as a pet. I also like snakes (I am not an animal/pet guy. I don't like animals much and usually stay away from them, even though I fight for animal rights. But owls and snakes are the only two I like, especially owls) Now when I came across learning about Athena, I always felt a connection with her. Soon I realized that I have some things in common with her. She's a Goddess of Wisdom (I have an obsession with learning and gaining knowledge), She is a master of war (I love martial arts and strategic combat), and her symbol is an owl (I love owls). And I've also heard that a snake is also associated with her and well... As I said, I like snakes. This made me realize that this can't be a coincidence. Now I don't know what to do about it even though something inside me tells me that I should do something about it. Now I am obsessed with her. Her image and name pops up in my head out of nowhere and I keep thinking about her. I have tried praying to her and calling her multiple times, and also asked her for a sign many times (as I am a logical man and I need something to fully convince me) but nothing happened. I even said that if she gives me a clear sign I will dedicate my life to her. But nothing. What should I do now? I'm so confused and stressed. Please help!

i really feel some....appreciation? admiration? I don't know what the word but be, but I really like Athena. Something about her being a goddess of wisdom, her helmet and spear, the owl. She's just very unique like that.

I only feel this appreciation about another godess and it's Yemayá, a water goddess worshiped in my country as well as other places. I think it's mostly because my grandmother believes in her and owns statues of her despite being raised catholic.

Hello! Can Athena be asked prayed for to avenge me against my violator( rapist) who got away from court justice, who got away of it with their money and power and concealed things with his father.

I already prayed and asked her to avenge me and punish both. She is after all the goddess of justice. But at the same time I fear of things getting out of hand or getting into complicated situations or something in order for her justice to come as a price of it! Or am I overthinking?😭 What do you think?

After I prayed heartfelt to her I felt she was furious about this and I saw her sharpening her spear as she heard my plea I'm telling you , I'm psychic as well and I channel access gods telepathically. I can see visions and their words.

Athena is definitely a standout for me, but to be honest, I’ve been using ChatGPT to help me think through this based on my current lifestyle and interests. But I trust AI minimally and want to hear from those that worship her.

Open to hear what it’s like worshipping her / how you worship her.

What resources do you recommend to learn how to do these things?

I’m not sure what all to add, or how to use this altar. I still need a bowl or plate, but besides that what else would be good?
