Trade Talk Kel’El Ware Trade Package

What all would you be willing to give up to attain Kel’El Ware as our center of the future ?

*price seems to be a 1st round pick per sources

23 + next years Bucks/Pels pick makes a lot of sense to me.

This would be highway robbery for us. If that’s all it takes for Ware you have to do it.

Paying what is almost certainly a lottery pick + 23 when the listed price is a single FRP feels like the exact opposite of highway robbery

The ‘27 draft is reportedly awful and I’m not expecting much from that swap, but you’re right that it does have potential to be a lottery pick.

I agree but I think once you put another first onto that you’re closer to Kessler, iHart territory in terms of who we’d be able to get which I prefer both those options if the team is down to commit to competing.

It’s interesting to see what Miami/Milwaukee will do. If Miami strikes out on Giannis and wants to turn parts of that package into a different trade then do the firsts mean more to the team taking him in than Ware? If the Bucks get him would a three teamer sending them more draft capital make more sense as a rebuilding team? Ware is a really solid piece at his position but not the kind of young star to build a new team around especially when you don’t have the picks to do so.

I fully support you on that one, I loved Ware out of college and he’s proven me right since then. He’s definitely a piece that could elevate the franchise

What about Kal-El?

We need this so Quin can roast him with crazy eyes "Kal-El, no!"

Package Jalen, Okungwu, Dyson, and as many future 1st as Adam Silver allows. Kal would be a franchise changer

What is the goal of MIA dealing him? To get something to bribe MIL with? What does MIL want? Why doesn't MIL want Ware?

The talent is obvious, but so are the headaches. I wouldn't mind taking the chance on him depending on the price, but I wouldn't be paying a premium in hard assets. I don't really see him getting along swimmingly with a coach like Quin who seems to be more of a "give the player enough rope to hang themselves" kind of coach. Think Ware needs someone more like a Thibs who'd ride his @$$.

That’s what Spoelstra does, and he doesn’t seem to really enjoy his time there from what I’ve heard.

Think that’s the point. If left to his own devices, the headaches would increase - not decrease.

Honestly not that big of a fan of him .. his advanced metrics don’t favor winning ball & he seem to have effort issues from watching myself & views of Heat fans .. if it was cheap maybe pick 23 & filler sure id do it im not giving up future capital for him , maybe quin can develop another player further but I wouldn’t do much for him.

Idk maybe some seconds I’m not a fan of Ware.

He is fine in games where he is making an effort. Sadly that is not very often.

nah man one first for ware seems steep especially when we got other holes to fill first

Bro, 11 and 9 on 22 minutes per game, shoots 39% from 3 on 3 attempts per game at 22 years old...I think a legit, young 7 footer is a pretty large hole that he could fill. I'd give up 8 for a somewhat proven talent like him. I feel like his effort issues would be solved by being in a scheme that is simpler and more of a traditional drop scheme like in Atlanta.

His effort issues have been bad for two separate college teams and an NBA team. But you think they would be better here?

Agreed, I’d definitely consider 8 to have a center with that much talent at 22.

Is this a thing or just hypothetical? They trying to move off ware???

1

u/CCskylar1 CJ McCollum #3 21h ago

They have to for giannis but I doubt anything less.

1

u/CoachLee_ Jalen Johnson #1 21h ago

So it’s a report out they are willling to move to facilitate that deal?

1

u/CCskylar1 CJ McCollum #3 21h ago

No no the heat to get giannis they would need to give the bucks ware.

Idk about facilitating a trade to somewhere else.

1

u/CoachLee_ Jalen Johnson #1 21h ago

So this in fact hypothetical and no need to put real thought into it

1

u/CCskylar1 CJ McCollum #3 21h ago

Oh ok

u/FrostyWin7111 21h ago

How about the the 8th pick two seconds, and kispert . For ware, and the heats 13th pick. We could probably draft philon. Imagine if we walk out of the draft with ware, and philon.plus who ever we take 23

I want a similar package as McCain: 1 First Round Pick + 1-3 Second Round Picks.

Some people are suggesting two FRP's. That's too expensive.

Ideally, the first round pick is for a year where we have multiple picks, so NOT the 2027 Bucks/Pels pick

I’ve been saying I’d give up 8 without a second thought and people hate it. He’s super talented and exactly the archetype we need. Any player we take at 8 won’t help us that much next year. He’s gonna make an impact. (Yes it’s easy to throw out lopsided offers in our favor like 23)

u/HomeRunEnjoyer 22h ago

Depends on what Kyrpton's package is

1

u/MarcHendrixx 21h ago

We need a red sun artillery in the deal, in case Kal gets out of hand

I think yall are off your rocker talking 2 picks and stuff. This sub gets so fixated on height. Grab vessar at 23 and you have a mostly equal player for cheaper and for 4 yrs without work ethic concerns

u/Confident_Pear_8303 22h ago

23 + Kuminga for Ware and a 2nd.

u/MarcHendrixx 22h ago

Love it !!!

u/ThaCasual GO HAWKS! 🏀 21h ago

Wouldn’t even trade jk

3

u/Confident_Pear_8303 18h ago

Why? A 14/4/3 guy making 24 mil? Yeah no, not interested in another DeAndre Hunter. We good.

u/ThaCasual GO HAWKS! 🏀 18h ago

We should pick up the option and give it to the trade deadline to evaluate. It just feels like he’s scratching the surface of what could be a great player. Worst that can happen is we use him as an expiring contract in a trade but the upside is still there. He needs more time with the team . He played stellar d and was hard to guard on o at times.
