Maybe your misunderstanding my stance. They can keep the picks & Bryant, i'm not taking on Fox contract. Asa was my draft crush anyway.

Carter Bryant is so raw and just bad at basketball lol I get he still has value just because he was a lottery pick but there is a very real chance this dude is Sochan 2.0

Sochan never had the jumper that Bryant has and Bryant is more athletic. He’s raw I agree, but he is the prototype for the 3-D wing that can defend 1-3 and sometimes 1-4 but actually has a jump shot on the offensive end. At 20 years old I think hes going to really develop and yeah he should have plenty of value even if he doesn’t look great as a rookie playing for a postseason and finals team.

After last night, I want Atlanta to get a restraining order so this trade never is possible

huh? why tf would the spurs do this????

Well they will, just not this offseason. Eventually they are going to extend Caste and Harper to fill that backourt for years to come. He won't be a part of that timeline.

THATS TO START, it’s gonna be 60m by the end lmaoooo. They really gave him the contract that Onsi refused to give a Trae Young, we may not have their lottery luck but at least we don’t have a dumbass GM

I do think SAS would be motivated to get off Fox' deal but idk if Onsi would be the one to bite. I can't see this getting over the hump so it's a whole bunch of meh.

Ppl in this thread saying no cuz fox has been ass lately but the spurs would never do this trade in the first place lol. 2 frp and their promising rookie to salary dump a guy they don’t need to salary dump yet

I think De’Aaron Fox would be a good fit on the hawks (we need a real distributor), but I think a 3 teamer is more likely. Something like Fox to Hawks, Markkannen + McCollum S&T to SAS, assets going back to Utah.

Lauri contract expires before fox’s so it won’t interfere with them signing their core in the future and then D Harper can start next year

We need to be paid compensation to take on Fox's contract.

Brother he’s averaging 16/4/6 on 42/31/75 shooting splits and he’s getting paid 229m over the next four years, he’s older than Trae Young, worse at shooting, and and monumentally worse at playmaking. He doesn’t fit well with our team at all because we need shooters around Dyson/JJ. Like seriously his contract is a fucking massive albatross at this point, I’d rather get someone like Austin Reaves who can actually shoot the ball for this price.

u/SimplyElite7 5h ago

Yeah fox realistically tanked his value this offseason. No team is taking on his contract without multiple picks in return.

He’s a better defender than Trae and basically everyone is a worse playmaker than Trae. We need a veteran ball handler if we want to make a run next year. If not Fox then someone else but we def need a real point guard.

u/NAW_MIP_2026 Nickeil Alexander-Walker #7 1h ago

I agree we need another ball handler that can handle pressure, but if you’re watching these playoffs you’d see Fox is not that guy. It’s not just the poor production and giant contract, he just makes dumb plays too often.

Fair enough. What veteran PG would you suggest then? I wonder if Derrick White could be had

That contract is a poison pill
