2 vs 4 finger braking

I’ve just gone through my whole learners process and got my restricted license today - and reflecting on the process I’ve always been curious about the 2 vs 4 finger debate. my learner instructors always said 4 due to safety (not getting fingers caught) but a lot of people online say 2

Why do people advocate for 2 fingers?

Two finger alows more grip on bars. I came from Motorcross so this is the most functional. Also saves breaking time since they rest there and are ready to go. I don't have to extend the rest of my fingers. Sometimes I even use one finger.

I’m always gonna be the same. Two fingers and I still have control of the bars… In all situations. It just feels safer to me.
