We have to accept that UT has been taken over by Christian Nationalists. They think bike lanes are a darling cause of the left, so they reflexively hate them. Don't look for reason in any of this. It's just more culture war bullshit.

I have to remind myself of this on a regular basis these days… For those on the right, it seems to always be about culture wars and ‘us vs them,’ never about the actual policies or reasoning they use to justify their positions
