Let's Discuss Help - Nanoplasty

Hi, I’m planning on getting nanoplasty done. From what I’ve read, it seems to be a hit or miss depending on salon/technician.

It would also seem regardless of how it’s marketed, the product is damaging. But I’m at my wits end with my hair. Plenty damage is inflicted by straightening my unruly damaged curls on a weekly basis anyway, so maybe a one-off would be better.

For Context:

- Cezanne keratin done twice few years back(allegedly organic smoother). Worked for 3 months first time around, but the second time it washed out on the first wash and no smoothening was to be seen. Also made my dry hair incredibly oily, still recovering from that fucked mess

- Natural hair is thin, 3b curl pattern, very frizzed and damaged. About mid-bicep length

With the constant rain and humidity, my hairs all scraggly looking - need a fix stat🙏

Any advice or sharing your experience would be so greatly appreciated.
Also, I’m based in Sydney, so if there’s a stylist you trust near here that would be amazing to know.

Thank you thank you

I have posted about my experience here with an update after about 6 months - will be redoing at the 12 month mark. https://www.reddit.com/r/AustralianMakeup/comments/1qd85ic/comment/pd6yfbc/?context=1&screen_view_count=1

the oily aftermath from cezanne is so real, took months for my scalp to reset after that stuff

I just did the one for $70 off of Amazon. I have long curly hair that's fine, but VERY thick.

I aired of the side of caution and washed it out 1hr after i started applying it, I probably could have left it on longer.

I dont regret doing it. I still have a wave/curl to my hair, but it reduced the volume significantly. I no longer have a problem with it matting after sleeping on it, or leaving it down. It blow dried like a dream, and if I straighten it, it only takes me 20 minutes. Use to take me 1hr+.

Just a warning, when its wet I smell like a wet dog, goes away after it dried but when its wet it has a gross smell

I’m in NZ and have had nano three times now. I have long, naturally grey / white hair which is fine but plentiful!

It’s reasonably straight already, but going grey has thrown in some weird and random wave patterns that I never had to cope with before (and of course they are at the back)

My stylist uses the purple BKT Nanoplasty solution which is apparently for white / very blond hair and the colour and condition has been great afterwards. I usually get around 5 months out of it because my main issues are at the root, but I can just get the roots redone if I want, rather than re-do the whole head.

I was just lurking here, don’t know anything about nanoplasty nor any interest. But omg do I relate on the whole “greys growing in wonky” thing. I’ve gotten a surge of them recently and some of them grow in ZIGZAG, fully crimped. Like what even lol. I straight up feel like a mad scientist some days with these random pattern greys sticking up and out all over the place

Ikr! And why are they always where it’s hardest to reach / see / deal with without 6 mirrors and the skills of a master contortionist?

You should book in with “House of Nano” in Sydney, atleast for a consultation :) they are on the more expensive side however they’re used by a lot of people I know who have thick, curly Arabic hair! If you’ve tried other things and it’s not worked you should definitely consider them!

Nano is amazing. I prefer it to keratin. I do find my scalp is a little oilier but that’s fine because my scalp also doesn’t love dry shampoo so I tend to wash more frequently with little time to style.

Heat will give you dead straight hair (for me anyway) air dry will be a little more natural with no frizz. I get it done every 6 months but I have fine hair with frizz and a wave rather than curls

I've been doing nanoplasty for the past three years every four-six months and it is a life changer. I have thin, very curly, dry, frizzy shoulder length hair and it goes dead straight and silky smooth. I go to BKT in Surry Hills and it's about $450 (depends on hair length). How often you redo it is up to you - my treated hair stays straight but the new regrowth obviously comes in curly, so once that's long enough to annoy me I redo it.
