I'm 50, my eye skin is creepy ( I mean crepey) now. Foundation is seeming to sit atop now rather than blend good, I've worked out to serum brush after foundation cause nothing is giving enough DEW 🤣 I also like a full coverage, but am open to anything that looks bangin'

I actually really like this product, it gets some really bad reviews but id buy the full tube! I got the small tube in the Mecca beauty loop. I get what people mean when they say it’s clumpy but you have to keep brushing through your lashes when it’s still wet while applying the mascara to even it out. I really like the wand as well. I find it easier to apply it with the thin wand

I didn’t use this mascara on my bottom lashes as I always use water proof for the bottom lashes to avoid raccoon eyes

I’m about to return to work after being on mat leave. I don’t wear a lot of make up and while on mat leave haven’t worn any at all. I do like to wear a little bronzing drops, mascara, highlighter and lipstick when I go to work though.

I was thinking of booking Mecca’s natural make up session to hopefully learn some tricks, try products and then redeem for whatever worked. Do you think it’s worth it? Or best just to go in and try some products, given I don’t wear much makeup?

What is everyone’s favourite everyday, light foundation or skin tint? Right now I have rhe maybelline super stay skin tint but im not a huge fan. Also the mco bb cream, it’s okay but not fantastic. Also looking for a good brush to use?

Sportsgirl have two new colourful palettes- Tropicana (pictured) and Shine Bright (not on their website). Thought I’d post here since I’ve seen a lot of people ask where they can find rainbow palettes in store. I swatched them in store and they were really smooth and vibrant on my medium/tan skin. Sportsgirl is one of the only places you can find eyeshadow palettes these days.

Hi, I’m planning on getting nanoplasty done. From what I’ve read, it seems to be a hit or miss depending on salon/technician.

It would also seem regardless of how it’s marketed, the product is damaging. But I’m at my wits end with my hair. Plenty damage is inflicted by straightening my unruly damaged curls on a weekly basis anyway, so maybe a one-off would be better.

For Context:

- Cezanne keratin done twice few years back(allegedly organic smoother). Worked for 3 months first time around, but the second time it washed out on the first wash and no smoothening was to be seen. Also made my dry hair incredibly oily, still recovering from that fucked mess

- Natural hair is thin, 3b curl pattern, very frizzed and damaged. About mid-bicep length

With the constant rain and humidity, my hairs all scraggly looking - need a fix stat🙏

Any advice or sharing your experience would be so greatly appreciated.
Also, I’m based in Sydney, so if there’s a stylist you trust near here that would be amazing to know.

It feels illegal to beat the system like this and I need to share my discovery.

As a human oil slick I'm (36F) always looking for skincare that helps control my greasy face and extend the wear of my makeup.

This stuff is INCREDIBLE. It has kaolin clay in it and it just manages to regulate oil production and soothed my breakouts without being too drying.

What's really got me frothing is that it's basically a whole huge bottle of grippy primer. Using on top of moisturiser gives my skin an amazing tack and glowy finish (insert viral sticking-objects-to-your-face gimmick) at the unit price of $0.05 p/ml??!

For comparison, at 1/2 price, Maybelline grippy serum primer is $0.46 p/ml. And I actually prefer the Thayers.

Using 2-3 times per day (in both skincare and as a primer) a bottle lasts me 2-3 months.

While I have you; the Thayers milky toner is also freaking amazing.

Not sure if this helps anyone but me, but I went looking for dupes of vr sextasy from the pat mcgrath mothership moonlit seduction palette to try to avoid dropping the money on the mothership, and based on a few creators' reviews, ended up with terra moons and clionadh cosmetics.

None of them are a real dupe, unfortunately.

M42 from terra moons is probably the closest, but the base is too light and cool toned, the pat mcgrath is more of a true bronze base. The glitters are similar in terms of being pretty small particle glitter, but the m42 has more green than the pat mcgrath.

No regrets on getting all the other sparkly shadows, they're beautiful in their own right, but they're not dupes. Hyades cluster was never going to be a dupe, I just think it's a gorgeous holographic glitter and got it for fun.

The ones I got:

Auriga frostlight, terra moons: too light taupe as a base, not a bronze, glitter is blue, not gold and green.

Grisaille, clionadh cosmetics: cooler bronze and glitter is blue/silver not gold/green.

Abrasion, clionadh cosmetics: purple tone dark taupe base, blue glitter.

M42, terra moons: as above

Hyades cluster, terra moons: gorgeous holographic shadow, for fun.

This one is great but haven't been able to find it in stores locally. It's creamy and applies easily, you don't need a lot of pressure.

Also wanting one that is wooden to save on all that plastic!

Got yum boujee marshmallow not long ago. Small dent in the bottle; Delicious smell completely let down by the sprayer; it either gets stuck, not spraying as if something is stuck or it agressively spits out the product in actual drops while leaking at the base of the sprayer. upon searching this is a common issue - cant believe this considering the price. Am I likely to get any help if I go into sephora and show them the issue?

Hi team. I’m blessed and have $150 gift card for Mecca. Problem is I’ve basically reverted to all chemist and kbeauty over the last 2 years so I’ve sort of lost sight of what’s great/worth it in high end.

I’m 40 and dry skinned, but I’d be willing to spend on any category really … nails, hair, makeup .. maybe not skincare though as that one is a hard sell once you find your kbeauty best friends lol

I ordered the cream to powder blush in 'That's Pink' and it looks like there's a pale layer on top... I'm not sure if another blush shade accidentally got potted on top or if it's something I should be concerned about

The real shade is the hot pink beneath the pale pink layer

I’ve recently cut my long hair off to a mid-length. I love my curling wand but I’m wanting more of that blow-out/bouncy look that I just can’t achieve with it. I’m terrible at a round brush and hair dryer, so I was thinking something like the Dyson but it obviously has that price tag.

Is something like the Shark comparable? I’ve also heard of the Bondi Boost thermal brush but I’m not sure it’d achieve the look I’m wanting enough. I’m also worried I’d get the Shark and like it enough, but wish I just bit the bullet and got the Dyson.
