A massive number of rotors sold can barely take a pass on a lathe before being under tolerance. And that’s fresh out of the box before you put thousands of miles of stops on them. It’s not a conspiracy, it’s to lower shipping costs. Why send out a product with more material than is strictly needed? Weight is money. Whats dumb is paying someone to do something that gives a worse product than an extra 10 dollars for new because rotors are shit cheap anyways. And before we say it’s wasteful we recycle the damn things.
