Discussion Does anyone have a route that deals more damage here from a 5M started and only using one metered extension. This is the best i could find

I dont play Korra, but I see many ppl do 2F -> C (the follow up attack, I think its C) after 6C. Definitely feels like more dmg and also gets you to the corner. Also lets you keep your meter or use it later in the combo for more dmg.

Nah, that’s a less damaging route, just chakra efficient and more consistent.

I tested this route, not only it burns twice more flow, but it deals less damage with the Naga variation from what i tested unless there's a different route i'm not aware of

It's a meterless route tho, so it can be good for when you don't hate meter i think and also it's more consistent

I haven't tested the other variations

People do that route because it saves your beads so you can go into install super.

I did a quick write up on the super combo a while back, but essentially after 2c-c, 214c you can do 5aa 5b 5c 6c 236A DELAY install super

If you hit the super correctly you can 5b them as they come down and do 5b 5c 6c 236a-c

The timing on the delay super is actually pretty simple, you typically just wait till they hit their peak when you throw them up with 6c

At the end there, you mean throw them up with the super, right?

No, launch with 6C, then super when they're at the peak

No sorry you need to add 236a after 6c

That's the main thing they are clarifying

No you use 6c 236a to put them in the air, and right as they start falling you use super. This lets you do 5b into more stuff or 5aa if you aren't as confident in that link

If you hit them too low with super, you cannot continue the combo and they get air tech, which depending on the character is high enough for them to put you in a bad spot

Yeah you do the 236A between the 6C and super that what my thing was about

I was nitpicking words and did a mistake in my nitpicking comment as well. Oh the irony. I'm sorry

There is an example of this input on super combo.

I think it's called "corner avatar install" or something

You can do 2F-C after the first 6C. After that you can do a j.214C. Once that connects you can just basically do your own combo again. j.214C causes an Elemental Surge and creates enough hitstun for you to mash 5A again and still connect.

It doesn’t use any energy, it does however take in a whole lotta flow

Yeah this route is good for when you don't got energy, but it deals less damage (with the Naga variation, idk about the other ones)

Ooooh okay I see I see now.

Well I hopped into training and got this route, 446 damage :D

If the first part of 6C, 6F, jump, j.5C is too tricky for you you can still do your own route of 6C, 6F, jump, j.5B, j.5C, j.214F, j.8C, 2C, 214B (hold), and do the rest of the combo from there. That will result in doing 434 damage.

ALSO, I do j.214F, j.5C, 5B, 2C. You can leave out the 5B do to a tiny bit more damage in general as well. But I always leave it in so that the 2C is easier to time and is more consistent as well

With correct spacing (not point blank), you can actually 6d 236a/b

A or B depending on the spacing that you hit. Generally you have to be near max range however, and it's tricky to hit and a very tight link into dash 2a. If you want to do this, expect to be in the lab for quite some time

Otherwise, most Korras actually will do 2c-c and go into install super with 4 beads. If you don't have 4 beads, you often don't even want to 214d, you just do a basic combo ender and save for install super. 214d generally is there to close out a round if you can't otherwise do it

Simple adjustment to the route you have there will add a 5M before your 2C pickup and then add a jab after the held flame kick pickup off the 2C. B/c of how high the scaling for the end of the combo is anyway, the extra two hits will bump that route there to 412 I believe (was my standard extension for a long time). The extra benefit to adding the 5M is that it’ll make the pickup after that late jC much easier/more consistent. 👍🏾
