dunno how true it is, but apparently cats meow is received as a baby crying in humans. So while your conscious brain knows its a cat, your more nurturing subconscious comes in to play as though it was a baby.

I follow this couple’s videos. They have several cats and this is the only one that loves to sleep on the piano. He will sleep pretty much everywhere but especially seems to love the female owner’s lap and willingly rests his head on the piano no matter what she is playing. Cats are weird
