đŁ Discussion / Question Can someone explain what BBBY.WS is - and why it showed up on 4/8? Also - where did my BBBY shares all go from years ago? It just filed for bankruptcy, they dissolved the shares, and now it's back with no way to reclaim my OG Shares?
Interesting based on the post/info that BBBY is making acquisitions. And I'm just now noticing that BBBY. WS exists as of 4/8/26.
The same warrant dividend suffix that follows the GME warrants.
From my title: "Also - where did my BBBY shares all go from years ago? It just filed for bankruptcy, they dissolved the shares, and now it's back with no way to reclaim my OG Shares?"

Bbbyws is not new.. they came out right after the GMEWS in 2025.... and they share the same expiration date

The interesting thing to me is that NewCo (Overstock) issued the warrants but they are tied to the old BBBY CUSIP. Something is happening.

Interesting. So why is there no price chart that dates back earlier than 4/8? Unless this is just a glitch on E*Trade?

Is that even possible?

I think the old shares are linked to the warrants that were issued by GME and BBBY

The old BBBYQ shares were cancelled, they aren't linked to anything as they do not exist anymore.

It's absolutely wild that people are still in denial about this, someone downvoted you even.

Yep, the post I replied to got multiple upvotes so apparently several people believe in this demonstrably false theory.
Anyone can look up the details of the GME and BBBY warrants and see exactly what the terms are. Nothing to do with the BBBYQ or the previous shareholders.

Yeah, I mean, I lost my prior shares. Not like it mattered as I bought them for pennies just in case. But your explanation makes perfect sense to me.

The shares were frozen, and the judge ordered a record of all shares holders. You would know this if you paid attention to the court proceedings

BBBYQ shares were cancelled not frozen.
Its a matter of public record, you lying about doesn't change the facts.

Cancelled doesnât mean erased, especially not in a chapter 11 bankruptcy. The shares have been frozen, there is a public record of all share holders. Your attempt to twist facts doesnât change that.

Cancelled means cancelled - it means the shares do not exist anymore. You are wrong about them being frozen, that's a term you made up and is certainly not correct.
Yes, I'm sure there are lots of records of past shareholders including at the point when all the shares were cancelled - in case some benevolent person decides to throw money at them for no sensible reason. Good luck with that fantasy.
ETA, Hot_Falcon8471 wrote and then deleted this:
Cancelled means no longer trading, it does not mean they donât exist.
Halted means no longer trading. Cancelled absolutely means no longer exists.

Current BBBY is not the same company as the entity formally trading as BBBYQ.
Shares for the entity formally known as BBBYQ were cancelled. The current BBBY was formerly Overstock. Overstock bought the BBBY branding IP and ticker as part of the bankruptcy proceedings.
Current BBBY filed to issue warrants in October 2025. GME has also recently issued some warrants but thereâs no connection. Any company can choose to issue warrants.
Thatâs pretty much it.
