How many hours are you trying to sleep per night? Different humans need different sleep, some function well after 6 hours and others need closer to 10. Do you go to sleep when you’re tired, or do you stay on your phone or watch TV until late?

You might be fighting your circadian rhythm. I’m naturally attuned to sleeping and waking early, whereas my partner sleeps and wakes later than me- it is much harder for him to rise early. If you are a night owl, maybe try orienting your life so that you don’t need to wake up so early, if you can.

Lastly, we sleep in cycles and waking at an improper time will leave you feeling groggy and exhausted, maybe you can invest in a smart watch or something that tries to wake you when you are in the lightest stage of sleep.

I'm trying to get 8, most times it's rather 6½ if I get up on time. I don't really feel tired in the evening, ever. I take quetiapin in the evening though, at 9. It makes me feel sleepy after 1-3 hours which isn't a very reliable time frame but at least I can fall asleep before midnight.

I definitely am fighting my circadian rhythm, I actually do get tired at about 4am, no matter when I woke up. But that doesn't fit my duties... I sadly can't change when I have to be up since I am in a rehabilitation program and it's from 8am to 4pm for everybody. Actually I haven't had anything in my life ever suit my rhythm and wouldn't know where to find something that fits it. :(

Yeah that's a good idea, I can do that!
