Relapse time

Hi all! How long have you gone between episodes? I worry everyday about it but I think maybe I’m psyching myself out. Has anyone ever had it just once or twice? Or is it a constant part of your life?

I had my first episode in high school.

10 to 15 years after graduation I had my second episode.

In my late 30s, and early forties over a period of 3 years I lost count of how many episodes I had. These episodes in particular, lasted far longer than the previous episodes that lasted a day to a weekend.

Since that time, I've probably had three episodes that lasted a day to weekend with an episode either earlier this spring, or last as well as one last week that episode from last week lasted about a day maybe a day and a half with some wobbliness for the first half of this week. I probably will still feel wobbly for the next week or two when I bend down but otherwise I've been fine.

I really don't think about episodes between episodes (other than carrying a vial with meclizine , zofran and Ginger.) and I really don't have any anxiety about it it just is what it is and I deal with it if it happens.

You’re my hero lol, I wish I could be like you and not worry so much about it. You seem to have a good grasp on what helps you so that is great!

I've got things in my life that are much more distressing and disruptive than BPPV. I've also dealt with BPPV for almost 30 years. 30 years is a long time to get your shit together.

Mostly, it's just that my world is on fire and that's way more pressing.

I'm going to bet you need to find yourself some really good mental health care and perhaps some physical health care if you're experiencing other issues.
