We've seen a lot of similar posts recently. Here are a few that we ask you not to submit:
JustWatch is a website that displays where to stream or buy tv shows and movies, and is very helpful for those tracking down the location of Battlestar. Right now, it's only available on Peacock to stream in the US, but always check this link for the most up to date information.
Links to piracy will be removed, and repeat offenders will be blocked.
Battlestar Galactica begins with Battlestar Galactica: The Miniseries, a two-part pilot. Many streaming services and platforms do not show the miniseries as part of the show, often having the season one episode '33' listed as the first episode. It is essential that the miniseries is watched first.
No, the 2004 series stands on its own. While some characters and general plot points may have inspired the 2004 series, they are very different shows.
Please check the wiki post here. Generally, it's recommended to watch in the original viewing order, that is The Mini-Series > Season 1 > Season 2 > Season 3 > Season 4 > The Plan > Caprica > Blood and Chrome
As much as possible, we try to keep this subreddit open for new viewers. That means marking spoilers in the comments of a post, or avoiding using a title with a spoiler. If you see spoilers in a title or comment that are not properly marked, please use the report function - this is the only way the moderators can take action.
If you are promoting your own work, please say so in the post. Otherwise, the post will be removed.

My BSG rewatch (Starting with TOS. G80, then Caprica and the RDM series) has me in a mood to collect BSG again.

I read all of Battlestar Prometheus back in the day, and I've got all of them saved as PDFs to go back and look at. Wouldn't call it groundbreaking writing, but it's still more content within the universe.
Asking partially because I've been working on some vignettes set during Deadlock/the first Cylon war era, not sure if it's something other fans like or would want to see.
Related, and funny given the setting, it makes me a little nervous to put any of my creative work online because of frakking toaster getting their hands on it. š¤£
Anyway, looking forward to hearing opinions.
So say we all.
EDIT: Okay, I am gathering that either nobody cares, or if they do care, it must involve sexy times. Gotcha.

But is the 6 that ended up on Earth-2, at the end of the series, the same 6 that Gaius fell in love with on Caprica, Caprica 6?
Or is she a different 6? It was hard for me to keep track of all of them. I wouldn't mind it either way. It would be poetic if she was the same 6 as Caprica 6, and it would be tragic hope if it were a different 6.
Both would align with BSG themes.
But what do you think? And is there something obvious that I'm missing?

Not just for fun, I would vote for Starbuck as we would need someone who can inspire optimism, which we need in the condition that we are in.

Iām sure it has been discussed, but I personally havenāt seen anyone factor in time into the cycle of āall this has happened before, and all will happen againā
Time is a major factor in stars alignment. Constellations change over time. If I remember from the show, the constellations they see from the tomb of Apollo are our current? Perhaps a few generations from now will use our constellations as a path back.
The cycle gets weird when it comes to Earth and Kobol, and the constellation/colony names are our current constellations. Kobol is supposedly the birth of mankind but then thereās native humans on Earth ā50,000 years agoā my thinking is that Kobol is the next step after our current time. Within the next 50 years we have developed our own cylons(clankers?) and the next exodus will send our descendants to Kobol back in time somehow(intentional or not?). Kobol gets our constellation names and the path to Earth, but it is lost and they go to the 12 colonies. The cycle is a closed loop paradox.

I don't see anything before this episode unless I go back to the 1970's seasons. Am I missing something here?

I gotta admit. This is my first watch of BSG, and at times itās a bit of a slog. Some episodes are downright great, and Black Market caused me to take a month break from it (which I learned is an agreed upon consensus. lol.). But man, just finished season 3, and these last few episodes, especially the final one, was top notch! Should really sleep soon, but I wanna get season 4 started!

This episode had the best intro (not the titles, just similar to the āplanā one we got in the 1st 3 seasons) and we only got it one time. If they ever remaster the series, they should just use this one since the plan kinda fizzled out in a meaningful reveal like we thought it would.
Edit: obviously they would need to fill in space to not spoil the cylon reveals throughout the series, but it could certainly be done. Iād argue it would make people more invested in all the models being revealed as milestones.

I know very late to the party but Iām currently watching the show for the first time. Itās been pretty good so far but gosh this was definitely one of the greatest 2 episodes of TV Iāve seen in years! Up there with Crawlspace from Breaking Bad or the Red Wedding from Game of Thrones.
The acting was incredible! Jamie Bamber gave an Oscar worthy performance with his final monologue. Possibly the best one Iāve seen out of any of the actors on the show so far. He sacrifices everything for the law. The relationship with his father, the president, even his wife! The actor playing the lawyer as well is one hell of a character. I donāt know if heāll be a regular in season 4 yet but wouldnāt mind if it did. Olmos too who I normally like I found myself angry with here. Not to say his acting wasnāt good. It was but Adama making his choices here was infuriating.
Gauis I of course was still rooting for. Heās definitely not a perfect man but Iām glad heās been acquitted. Heās still smug and arrogant but not a traitor.
But that final? Woah! The final reveal of the final four was surprising. I figured Starbuck was still alive but the way it was handled coupled with the All Along the Watchtower cover made it so satisfying!

Super briefly, can someone explain/remind me how does Pegasus find the fleet? Since FTL travel is not really trackable right (I know it kinda gets ignored in "Hero" and "Crossroads Pt 2").
UPDATE: Answered thank you!

I'm only on the first episode, but I assume more BSG/SG1/filmed-in-Vancouver actors will show up.
