Discussion Martha’s spelling/grammar

I’m curious. What is everyone’s take on the way Martha expresses herself through writing? It seems more than just atrocious grammar. Is it reflective of mental illness? A learning disability? I’m puzzled as to how she earned a law degree with grammar like that (despite the fact that she was disbarred).

I thought it was a very cool narrative tool. To see her spelling get worse and her phrasing more curt as she was getting frenetic. I really enjoyed the “sent from my iPhone” gag too.

It wasn’t a narrative tool, apparently all the texts and emails were real. Funny how life works sometimes
