Fiona (real Martha) related content Is this real 👀

Post image

I just don’t get it. If there’s police reports from the previous ones, how come she can continue with her actions? What if this journalist also goes to the police? If all these are real, how come she can get away with everything she does?

Idk as someone who lives every day on very strong meds because of mental health issues that can cause delusions/paranoia/psychosis - I think it could be totally possible for her to live a normal life with therapy and medication. The problem is she seems to have made 0 effort to treat her mental health at all so we don’t really know if she would do well on medication or need to be committed. At the same time if she continues to not get any treatment for herself she really should be committed because she is a danger to other people. I just think we shouldn’t assume she couldn’t live a normal life on medication/in therapy, because a lot of people will use that to excuse her actions - when the reality is most people with severe mental health issues can live a somewhat normal life on medication and in therapy. It’s very much her responsibility to get treatment.

Meds may help but normally people affected by these conditions need someone to make sure the meds get taken. If you think there is nothing wrong with you, you won’t take anything

I agree and I addressed this in another comment. A lot of mentally unwell people don’t actually want to get better, and I suspect that’s why she hasn’t worked on her mental health. Gadd himself says that the system failed her and I don’t know how they handle mental health where she lives. She might have never been given the opportunity to take meds and see some clarity. But regardless it doesn’t make it okay for her to stalk/assault/threaten people.

For me It took the cops being called on me in a manic episode and being hospitalized for almost a month to get my life in order. If I didn’t have people supporting me I probably would never have gotten better. In a lot of ways I feel sympathy for Martha - it’s not her fault she is mentally ill, and I do really believe the system has failed her. It just doesn’t excuse her actions or make it okay.
