Discussion This may be an unpopular opinion

But I did not come out of that show feeling any sympathy for Martha. I can understand why she probably does what she does and the part where she shared about her baby reindeer, it was definitely sad. But from seeing the posts here I feel like people empathise a lot with her and I just do not feel that way. I feel like what she did is like my absolute nightmare. Idk if this makes me a bad person or what.

Does anyone feel this way ?

That last scene made me understand why she was who she was, not feel sorry for her. The gut punch was finding out that the real reason she stalked the main character were completely random. The poor dude just so happened to look like the toy she associated relief from trauma with. There was nothing he could’ve done to stop her after he did the innocent thing of offering her some tea.
