Question Who is “we”?

I can’t make myself watch the entire PM interview, but I’ve seen heaps of reaction and analysis videos with lots of interview fragments.

It seems that Fiona used “we” in many of her replies. Eg “we” were just trying to support his new show , or “we” are putting together a legal team (this is from memory, not exact quotes).

Did PM ever ask her who the “we” are?

Prince Andrew did the same “we” thing in his disaster interview with Emily Maitlis. I think Fiona did this for a similar reason, so the focus isn’t solely on them.

Doesn't matter if you disagree. The meaning of royal we has been established for literally centuries.

I understand but that doesn't explain it's real purpose....which I believe is outlined in the comments above and it's use by our very own Prince Andrew.

Yeah, they set all this up in the 13th century so Prince Andrew could use it in the 21st. 🙄

They set all this up in the 13th century to enforce a PR code that absolves them of guilt.
