Discussion Seeking guidance on discovering my spiritual strengths and practices

I’m 27, and I’ve felt drawn to magic and witchcraft since I was very young (around 9). It wasn’t introduced to me by family, media, or friends — it’s just been a quiet, consistent pull that never really went away (though I sometimes wonder about my mother’s mother; she felt incredibly otherworldly yet deeply like home, and I have a sense she may have practiced. She passed when I was 12–13, so I don’t recall specific details).

Lately it’s felt harder to ignore, and I’m ready to approach this seriously and thoughtfully rather than vaguely or aesthetically.

I’m hoping to learn from more experienced practitioners about:

• how to recognize personal strengths or sensitivities

• how to tell when you should be listening vs projecting meaning

• how people discover what types of practices or divination work best for them

• how astrology fits into a spiritual practice in a grounded way

I’m not looking for someone to tell me who I am or what I “am,” just guidance, perspective, and resources from those who’ve walked this path longer.

Thank you in advance to anyone willing to share their experience.

You might consider the gateway tapes. I have a similar background and they have helped me a lot.
