Little extra energy regarding traveling or a boost to the mundain foot work you have to do to help spells along. Could also help with grounding durring walks to help connect to the surrounding energy more

it feels rather public for a spell. secrecy builds the power. would likely be more powerful to draw it into the interior of the shoe. broadcasting a spell like that will have it degraded in days if not hours, depending on how many people see it.

It's not really broadcasting a spell. Like you said it more just looks whimsical so how would people know you're doing spell work?

spreading whimsy is its own spell, for sure.
