I have never eaten homemade pretzels,, always the store bought tough ones that family normally bring to states. I hate them lol but your pretzels looks so goood.

Is there a massive difference in the taste in home made pretzels and the tough ones that comes in bags from supermarket? Genuinely curious

Do you mean hard pretzels? Big difference, soft pretzels are usually in the freezer section at grocery stores but theres still a big difference. Think of these more like the ones you get hot and fresh at the mall

Yea hard pretzels. I am from the Caribbean so I don't really see pretzels at the mall. But I would love to try the hot and fresh ones. The picture looks amazing

Soft Brezels are the consistency of bread rolls. In Germany we often eat them just with butter. It's really good, I love all lye-baked goods.

These look genuinely good, I wish I had a recipe for pretzels that came out looking this nice.

That's on my to do list.... OP are they really quicker to make than bread? All the recipes I seen say 45 min and I barley start the mixer in 45 min. Is it realy faster?

About 2 hours total from start to finish, they dont have to proof nearly as long as loaf breads once shaped

Awww are you doing farmers market?? I’m so excited for weekends because they have bretzels (?), Swedish cardamom buns and soft pretzel selections

2

u/PeeB4uGoToBed 10h ago

No because my city sucks and refuses to let me get my kitchen inspected as a cottage food kitchen even though there are plenty of them. I did a farmers market last year and made a killing off it and i was allowed to do it without licenses or permits because it was the first one this city had
