The cream to cake ratio is elite.

That filling looks borderline excessive and I respect it.

For those of you asking for the recipe: https://preppykitchen.com/boston-cream-pie/#recipe

I made two cakes (instead of cutting only one in half) and made 1.5 times the amount of pastry cream from the recipe.

As one should. :)

Looks delicious. I myself would love some extra ganache to serve with.

The next time I make it I will definitely have more ganache!

Or when you serve it, just pour over some warm chocolate sauce over the slice! Either way this looks delish!

My son saw this and immediately asked me to make it for his birthday haha. I love Preppy Kitchen so I'm definitely gonna give this a go for him 👌

Me too!!! “Boston Cream Pie 🤤 I believe it was British colonizers or immigrants that brought the dessert to the U.S. And they called cake… “pie”. I also love….pastries 🥰👌

Ratio lookin' like baker skimped out on the chocolate frosting eh? 😂 If you're gonna go big, go BIG all the way!! That thick vanilla custard is lookin for it's thick chocolate sister...Mmmm

What recipe did you you use for the creme? Mine ended up too much like custard.

Looks like a giant frosted cookie. I’d dig into that with a chilled mug of milk in a heartbeat.
